i dont think it was patron, but another fine higher end tequila. Cabo is overpriced but it smooth. anything with a hand number on it is always worth the extra few bucks.

personally im a bourbon/whiskey drinker. but tequila is a good change of pace.

I'm thinking we should have a Tequilla Table! Everybody sneak in a bottle of there favorite and we'll do a tasting. Everybody vote on line, votes will be tallied by me and the person who brings the winning bottle gets to buy me all kinds of shit!

This thread is so far off now, it's funny. So I'll add to the mayhem...

Now I'm no tequila expert, but I have been drinking it since I was a teenager. At any given point, I have 4 or 5 bottles on hand that run anywhere from $50-$120 so I feel I have a little authority on this subject...

Just about any tequila over $40 is a decent sauce. As with most spirits, you do indeed get what you pay for...

That being said, the best I've had so far is - in no particular order - Correlejo, Cantera, and yes, Cabo. This doesn't include bottles friends have gotten me from real family distilleries south of the border...

Keep in mind that I don't mix tequila. I prefer it as neat as it gets. If mixing is required, don't waste the cake. Get Cuervo for that as it doesn't much matter the quality of tequila...

Fuggit. I'll bring the three I mentioned...

Talked to the Purge DI boys last night (they put on one helluva show down in Manch last night!!!). We're all set, they'll be playing for us!
