Mad river glen had its "old home days" to celebrate the only single chair in new england, so they had pricing from 1949 when the chair was put into service. From what I heard there is only one other in the usa and its in new mexico. We are going to plan to go back again next year same time to take advantage of the cheap ticket, I guess they run the deal every year.

ITs and old school mountain owned by a co op of share holders, they still do not allow snow boards. I don't recall seeing any snow making equipment and the majority of the terrain is ungroomed and all natural. Which is cool if there is a lot of snow. they had decent cover but it was definately skied off by afternoon.

my pass "fell" into the hands of ski patrol after they caught me skiing "agony" at sunday river.

i told them i couldnt help it. there was 8-10" of fluffy stuff on it and it didnt matter that it was closed. a week suspension for skiing a closed, powder covered double black... worth it

hope it was late in the day.

Yeh we were up at killington and some of the crap they had open should have been closed and some of the closed stuff looked to have better cover. They were probably saving that stuff for the people on the weekend. But when we left today it was pouring down rain so most of that cover I'm sure will be washed away.

We could use a good dumping. From what I hear Jay Peak has been getting hammered with snow, 2 feet in the last week or so and more in the forcast.

drinking? who us? Well I will say that we were on one of the first 3 chairs to the top every morning standing in line before the lifts even opened , on that note we were also in bed before 10pm every night and last night I'm not sure I made it past 9:30. Skiing moguls, steaps and trees for 3 day really kicks your ass. We had a few beers in the hot tub and a few with dinner. But we went up there to ski.
I must be getting old, we rode up the gondola with the Jagermeister Bus driver, he was snow boarding. He offered to buy us a shot if we showed up at the bar that night, they were even going to be at the bar across the street from our hotel but being the old farts that we are becoming we were in bed before the promo.
