Important Gathering Update

Ok lets make this happen or not. Due to the lack luster commitment to attendance for the NESR winter gathering some choices need to be made. I need to make a decision tomorrow (2/9) on how this will occur.

If 40 or more CONFIRMED (i.e. Paid) are going it will go as planned.

If 20-40 the gathering is still on but NO BAND. This is most likely going to be the out come. If this happens I will subtract the cost of the room from the $15 then apply the remainder to beer. That means at least a beer or more would be included in the price.

If 20 or less then we could still meet up at Redhook. We could still do the tour and drink beer while the vids' are playing, then hit the town. I will have to check how this would work out. I will update later today on the specific's.

Or I could just call off the whole thing (not my preferred choice). This would mean all of those people who have paid already will be refunded. Jay (stoneman) will give the specific on how this would be taken care of.

I will however Not take a personal loss (like hundreds of dollars) to put on this event. This means you have today to either commit or at least let me know your thought's and intentions.

Cheer's, Brewmaster

I am going, I just needed to find out the details on memorial services and such before I commited. Looks like I may just be a little bit late arriving.

I am 100% going and am paypaling jay as we speak. Zx-Stewie will be there unless he has to travel on an emergency call for work otherwise he will pay at the door.

I am OK with no band or if we just gather downstairs as we had several years ago. Either way, I'd like to get to know more people on the site!

Joel

I know I am opening myself up for ninja edits like you read about on this one but I couldn't let Bruce go without getting ridiculed on this one.

Thats lame, dont let a little snow stop you from having fun. I am adjusting to it. Instead of taking the beemer I am taking the jeep. Instead of going at 5 I am going at noon. Sounds like a great day to hang out at the Hotel and use the Guest with the pool and hot tub.

It will be worth the trip. If you leave early afternoon you will beat the heavy snow. If not you have 4WD. Come on...
I will probably be driving there a little later than I wanted to, so most likely I will be burning lots of gas in 4WD. Hopefully it's not comming down that heavy at 5ish.
From what I heard on the news the majority of the snowfall will be in the middle of the night.

After we get shitty, we can build snow woman and have snow ball fights.

This totally sucks. If the majority of the snow falls sat night I won't be able to go. I'll be up at 3am for snow removal.

Here is the scoop! The gathering is ON. I have moved it to a different room due to NO band (Sorry not enough people) and because it will fit the amount of people better. It still has a bar so don’t worry about that!

I just spoke to Great Bay and we will still have two bikes to check out (surprise, surprise what will they be???).

There will also be a LCD projector with a DVD player available. I was going to bring my Faster DVD for viewing. I am not sure but I think the DVD player will also play VCD’s and possibly SVCD’s (not R/W’s though) If someone has or wants to bring a lap top we could hook that up and show some slide shows or other vids you have to watch.

As far as I know Peter is still coming up so have your suspension questions ready.

And lastly, I of course am planning on turning anyone who is interested into beer experts (not just drinkers) by giving you the “insiders” tour of Redhook.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting though this winter as fast as possible!

Cheer’s, Steve
