Lake Winnie, NH info needed

Does anybody on this Forum stay around the Lake Winnipesaukee area? I'm from Arizona, but will be around the lake every couple of weeks this summer. I've had my RC51 transported back to NH to ride, but don't know the good twisties, sport bike hang outs, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on riding south a couple of times to that New Hampshire Bike Night event, checking out bike week in a couple of weeks, and maybe riding the RC51 down to Fenway to watch a Sox game. If you have any other suggestions, I'm listening.

If you have a free day, take the auto road up to the top of MT Washington. Its definately an experience, it cost a few bucks at the entry gate but they give you a sticker (this bike climbed mt washington)

the road has paved, and dirt sections. The view from the top on a clear day is awesome and there is a cafeteria on top to get lunch.

Worth doing atleast once in your life, bring a camera.

Also get a NH map the kankamangus highway( rt 112 )is cool mid week and early in trhe morning but can get trafficy later in the day, its a very twistie road that goes from rt93 to 16 in nh

Bike week starts June 10th. If you don't have a room now it is going to be tough to find one. As far as good roads go just ride around they are everywhere. Also you did not state where on Winnipesaukee you plan on staying. it is the largest lake contained in one state so it gives you a lot of area to cover.

If you are gonna be riding the Kanc at all (112), check out 118 off of 112 (heading west it's a little ways after woodstock). It's a nice road. From there you can also pick up 25c which is a nice little road over the top of a mtn.

28A out of Alton, 109A out of Wolfboro, and Winona Road outside of Meredith, off 104, heading towards Ashland. These are my favorite roads.

I'm just down the road from you. We're on Locke Lake, in Center Barnstead. That's C-T-R B-stead to you though. I suppose I can lower my standards and ride with an RC from time to time...

Hopin' to get next week off. We'll get together...

Winona Road, 113 and 113A come to mind as great road near the big lake. Kinda shocked that I'm the forst to mention them, actually.

Where will you be on the lake? I boat there all the time.

Wolfeboro is home to many squids in flip-flops, shorts & cool shades. I used to work there. It sucks.

p.s.- beware of frost heaves
