You were up on the wrong nite!Drag Racers Run over Festival (WGGB - July 29, 2002) Springfield police say, some drag racers did a speedy job of ruining what was a very successful Puerto Rican Festival. Last night (7/28), police dispersed a crowd of close to 1,000 people who observed the drag-racing spectacle, on Main Street in the city's north end. Dozens of cars were lined-up and "peeling out," which caused a lot of damage to parts of the road. In fact, it took police almost an hour to clear the street. Gunshots were heard within the crowd but there were no reports of injuries. Drag Racing has become almost a weekly occurrence in the city's north end. ------------------------------------------ City Drag Racing SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP, July 29, 2002) - Springfield police had to disperse a crowd of over a thousand people around one this morning. People lined Main Street between Huntington and Waverly streets to watch drag racing. Police say the racers blocked Main Street and were directing traffic down side streets. The crowd eventually dispersed peacefully. There were no arrests. Trash, broken glass, and tire marks on the road are all that remains. |

Springfieldhmmm what DID i do? oh yea, i was getting rolling from a stop, hit the throttle a little to pick the front end up a bit, just an inch or two, but then everyone went zooming off, so i leaned up to try to sit it back down and hit the gas to get going, ... annnnnnddddd..... WHACK! i took a gas tank right in the chest, knocked the wind right outta me. talk about feeling dumb.... and yet very content with my what my bike had just done to me. hehehe thats my story and i am sticking to it. |

Springfieldsorry bout your incident brent, got to learn more thottle control but you know what, you will never do that again so it is a learning incident, the big question is, how many people where there to see you make a fool of yourself if it makes you feel better, i did something similar to that (less the tank slapper in the chest, hehe) on my first streetbike, i guess thats what i get for starting on a GSXR750, i was trying to pop up the front for the first time on this bike (in a safe environment where no one would get hurt cept me ) and i poped it up a bit and when it came down i somehow lost the control on the throttle and fucking thing came up all the way, closest i have ever come to taking it to the other side of where you dont want to be, thats MY story and im sticking to it |

Springfieldthankfully, no one i was riding with saw it. i was at the back of the pack and had drifted back a ways. so i learned, cause tonight i went out and got it up nice and smooth... still not more than about 1 or 2 feet, but thats enuff for now. i have been tring to get the RF to get up, and i got the front up about 1 foot, dropping the clutch and bouncing around on it in first gear... as it came up... it STALLED!!! fucking thing. oh well i will figure out how to get it up... hhe hehe i said get it up. this event with the RF was with Christina in a parking lot... so again, pretty much no witnesses, so if it gets mentioned in public i will deny it all. |

SpringfieldI dont recomend that you kids try this at home, however out on a crowded street is the only place to be a squic, after all if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to see it, does it really fall, fuck no, make sure there are witnessess and make sure you always have an escape route lofting the front up on a bike of your nature does not require the clutch (this includes the RF) just need to find the sweet spot in your powerband, your prolly used to the inline feeling, on my bike I would have to say that I am generally around three grand in first that is where she likes it. just cruise up in first to about three grand give or take a few hundred, close the throttle fast then whack it open good, you dont need to open it all the way, that generally brings my front up to the point where I start to get noticed. Anyhow that is a good starting point to your squidhood, dont be afraid to sit up, I find that sometimes as the front comes up I will lean forward to keep my seating postion angle the same as it normally is, DONT sit up on the seat and you should notice a diff, last but not least, I am no expert, this is just my own experiance and what I have been told in the past, practice at your own risk, where protection on your head (not a condom idiot) and jacket and all, this way no matter what happens you will always go home safe to your girlie! Now Whos Your Pimp Daddy,... Thats Right Baby, I Am ![]() |
