Route 2, North Adams, repaved

I did a ride out on Route 2, two weekends ago, over the hill in N. Adams and it had brand new pavement on it. It was the first time that I had gone over that hill before so I don't know exactly when it was repaved, but it seemed really new, still had a sheen to it (so I took it easy just in case). They actually did a great job IMO, very smooth.

My ride was a good one. I took the Pike out to route 20 (I think it was exit 3), then Route 8 North, Route 2 East, Route 10 North, Route 119 East, Route 32 North (looked twisty on my map, it was, but it was also practically unpaved), 101 East to 93 home. 350 Miles total, did it solo. Route 8 and 2 were amazing, I will definitely ride them again. The rest was so-so. I basically went exploring, I knew I wanted to ride 8 and 2, the rest I just made up as I went along.

Route 2, North Adams, repaved

yeah, it was my favorite road BEFORE they repaved.. lol now its just amazing. I've been waiting for some rain to fall to clean up the fresh blacktop oiliness, but it has not rained, I think I'll ride it today after work.. I'm the lucky one - 5-10 minutes from the fun parts, I'm right between the Florida, MA (east of me) fun side and the close second Williamstown, MA/Stephentown, NY side (west)
