Punjistick and I scoped out a pretty sweet route down in CT. I went on Google Earth and used a map screen shot to show you what the route looks like (Follow the red dots). The sum is 45 miles of Twisties!!!!
Directions:
RT 16 to RT 197. RT 197 will eventually turn into RT 171, and then RT 171 will end on RT 190.
Take a left onto RT 190 towards 84 West
Merge onto 84 West
Get off at exit 71 which should be RT 320.
At the end of the off ramp, take a left, then another left.
Once you go over the bridge take another left onto Turnpike Rd. Follow road but do not go down any dirt roads.
Take a left onto RT 198 (Eastford Rd)
Take a left onto Old Turnpike Rd. Road will turn into Centre Pike. Follow road straight all the way and it will bring you back to where you orginially got on RT 190.
I think we'll be going back on another ride down there so if anyone wants to hit up some twisties for an afternoon, let us know!

awesome...good work!
but hide the route! put it on grouprider.com or something so it's not too public for law enforcement to be familiar with
those roads are 15 minutes from my place. I do that route and other roads in the area on a regular basis.
Other roads??? Do tell in a PM, if you dont mind!!!Originally posted by McBiggity

i don't even know the names of the roads- I'll have to pay attention to them next time I go out there, probably today after work.

I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Yup! Elderly ladies that frequent the forum are going to be tipped off too. They'll be standin' at the apex swingin' their fists (luckily not their pocketbooks) when we come ridin' through now, "I'll get you .. you mean motorcycle man you..."Originally posted by rmbbikes

ya let's do it but Sat. might have less traffic. Although last weekend we also checked out 190 and on the way back (it was starting to get kind of late in the day) there were hardly any cars. 190 isn't that twisty but when there are no cars it's pretty fun to rip along at a good pace. I think we had roughly a 20 minute run with no cars. Nothing too crazy, I don't think we passed a single car all day, and speeds were not that much over the limit (on 190 at leastOriginally posted by Funnyguy

It's an awesome route (I have Alex as my witness). I know it's a small route (45 miles) but its a shitload of fun and only an hour away from Boston. Alex and I said so what if it's small, you can just keep doing laps all day because its that much fun. Then once you get tired going one way, reverse it and go the other.
Unfortuately this weekend doesn't look like I'll be doing much riding. I got a lot of other things going on. Sorry guys. But next weekend IM GAME!!!!!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes we stayed at the speed limit on the whole ride.Originally posted by Punjistick

There should be an image of the route in the very first post. I don't know what to do if you can't see it. Perhaps you are being blocked from it at work or something![]()
Tis would be a great ride to do this weekend if the rain holds out![]()
