Whats the pace? Unfortunately I have to ride a little on the slow side yet since I havent gotten my bike broken in since I didnt have much time to ride it this weekend.

I've always wanted to do a kanga ride!!!

I think it would be a bad time of the Year for a Ride up that way, unless your intention is a nice easy cruise??

This is usually what NH advertises as "peak foliage weekend". The Kancamagus will be loaded with out of state drivers that don't know where they're going and will be watching leaves more than the road. Not exactly the safest environment for double yellow passing.

Kancamagus is 112 to the east of I93. If you head west on 112 from I93 then pick up 118 you'll find a similar road that is less traveled.

I was on the Kanc a few weeks ago - tons of construction. It was stripped down to the dirt for about 10 miles.

I'm not trying to piss on your shoes here. But why people are drawn to the Kanc for rides is beyond me. Sure, the scenery is incredible, especially this time of year. And if that's your pleasure, then it'll be a great trip. But tourists, cages in general, road conditions and CONSTANT construction have made it a far less than ideal destination for a motorcycle rides for years. Unless like I said, your fancy is stopping for pics and just putting along taking in scenery. In which case you'll have a great time...

It's a great trip in a cage. But for a m/c ride, you should pull out a map of NH and look into all those little red squiggly lines in & around the Lakes Region & White Mountains. You'll get the same great scenery while avoiding a lot of the tourist-type bullshit...

I'm drawn to it because it's close and twisty...getting less twisty every year now though. They're diggin', blastin', and turning the twists into sweeps.

But you being in Bath surely know of much betterer roads. Close & twisty, sure. But the road conditions and traffic ALWAYS suck...
