SO...lots of chances to ride some of new Ducs. This Friday, the big red Ducati Truck will be at Seacoast! Ride up with your gear and check it out!
If that doesn't work, The Duc Truck will be at NHIS, Wed - Sat next week!
And, although it isn't yet posted, (as of 11:20 Monday!), there WILL be demo rides from the Paddock at NHIS on Saturday the 16th. Keep checking here for updates!

Lots of other stuff happening too. Should be a good time!
Just pay your fee, ($20.00 according to Guest Services who I called this morning), to get in the Paddock at the gate, then sign up for rides at the Ducati Truck!
See you there....

Stay out of the Paddock. Only racers allowed in there!:

$20 is just to get into the Paddock and hang with the racers.
I'll give ya a beer though... If you stop by our pits and the track is closed for the day. ;D

anyone know when the ducati demo day will come to wagner motorsports in Worcester?
what kind of bikes? hyper,1098?
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I ended up going to the one at SeaCoast. They didn't have the 1098 and the hyper wont be coming out until June 29th and 30th at dealers. They did have several monsters. I rode the Monster S2R 800 and the S4RS Testastretta. They had the Monster 695 as well. I also rode the ST3 ABS. They had a 999S Team USA, a couple Multistradas, and all the SportClassics. I wanted to ride the 999s but it was booked until 4pm and I wasn't gonna wait around all day since all the other bikes were booked too.
We did a 20-30 mile loop at an easy pace. Mostly around the speed limit with a few parts that we could get on the throttle a tiny bit.
Several things I learned:
1) ducati's have awesome brakes.
2) the hydraulic clutch takes a lot of effort to pull. I stalled my bike several times when I was getting ready to leave since I was used to the ducatis' at that point. I'd hate to be stuck in traffic for any length of time.
3) Ohlins suspension is very nice.
4) the S4RS is a lot of fun and the wide bars let you throw it around easily.
5) the bikes are all really quiet and don't like to be ridden under 3k rpm. I thought my bike vibrated bad...try riding around at 3k rpm when the motor is lugging.
I'll be eager to try the hypermotard at the end of the month and I actually wanted to try the multistrada but there were no open slots.
Also, they require a full-faced helmet to go on the demo. That's not really an issue as most everyone has one but I just thought I'd let you know. They did turn a few people away for that.
Bhavesh, as far as I know the only demo at Wagner will be for the hypermotard on June 29th and 30th. The hypermotard will be at all dealers to demo on that date afaik.
nice review alex (wish I didn't have to work). counting the days for rides at the Ducati Truck

get there EARLY and sign up. I don't know how it will be at NHIS but each ride was about 45mins long (20-30 miles) and they do a ride on the hour except for 1pm which is a break for lunch or something. So that means there are probably only 5 or 6 time slots for each bike. So if 5 people sign up for the bike you want you'll be out of luck and riding an ST3 like me.
Maybe they will do shorter rides in which case there might be more slots, I don't know.
where did you find this information? I didn't see anything on their website, and I'm awaiting email response.
I also rode the monster 800 at last year's event and echo all the comments you made about it...don't rev it too low, the brakes are awesome, and the bars are indeed, wide.
and I certainly wouldn't mind trying out the hypermotard

great dave.
sorry for the 20 questions (wish they would only update the link) concerning the sat demo ride
what time does the demo ride start?
how long is each ride?
how many rides will be for sat?
do they loop the tack or some other roads?
this will help me to decide when to get there and how long I should stay.
once again thank you
Carlton

Carlton,
I don't have all the answers
Also, according to a report from someone who went to the Seacoast Demo Days, they did not have any 1098s, Multistradas or Hypermotoard. They did have a 999 however!sorry for the 20 questions (wish they would only update the link) concerning the sat demo ride
what time does the demo ride start? - Around 9:00
how long is each ride? - Not sure, probably about 20 minutes
how many rides will be for sat? - Probably around 15 - 20
do they loop the tack or some other roads? - Some roads
this will help me to decide when to get there and how long I should stay.

the main attraction for me is hypermotard (which they will not have) and the monsters.
