CAn you describe the racing classes? Those words mean nothing to me if it's based on 'attitude and skill'.

If i'm nice to you I move up or down a class?

The three pitbike classes are broken down by how hard you're willing to push to win.

'Sportsmen' are out to enjoy the afternoon on the track, and return home with a still shiny bike and leathers.

'Experts' are looking for a little excitement, but are fully aware that they have to work the next day. A little risk, a little reward, but still keeping things in check overall.

'Mad Max' describes most of us, bin it to win it. : )

Most people are running all three classes just for the track time, although one or two classes is one hell of a work out as it is.

Kurlon put it better than I could.

Come have fun - Plenty of track time on a fun road course. Track has a fast backstretch and banked corners and a technical infield section.

Run the class you want - I'm just trying to give everyone somebody to ride against. If 3 people show up with Stock 50's then we'll have a heat race for them. All I know is folks are getting between 100 - 150 laps of racing and an hour of practice all for $50. I got folks asking to shorten the races...they are tired by the end of the day.

The track owner is a great guy who losing money doing this but likes to see folks use his track. We have exclusive use when we run so we can adjust the track layout, race length, number of heats.

Show up and let me know your suggestions.

are fieldsheer textile jackets w' matching pants good enough for gear?

the jacket is for street riding w' elbows and the pants have knee/shin armor

this assumes that I'll also be bringing a full-face helmet, gloves, and racing boots

and can I have knobby tires on an XR80R?

sounds like a fun day to see some legal street action w' the mini

The Gear is fine. Just don't want road rash if you go down.

The bike on the other hand won't do. We do have a limit to horizontal type 4 stroke engines. The XR80-XR100 don't fit that. We do limit the wheel size to 12" rear Maximum. I won't let folks out there with knobbies, they are not compatible with the pavement.

If you have a different bike come on down

I've just picked an thumpstar 120 today. Will definitely be there on the next Wed practice to test it out.

We got plenty of folks with Thumpstar's - Come Racing there's plenty of practice time to get used to the track. Next practice isn't until July 25. We have two races before then, Sunday June 24 and Saturday July 7.

You'll have a great time.

We want to thank everyone that came Saturday night. We had a great time, we had one shower that got the track wet but it still had lots of grip and everyone, mini motards and pocketbikes had a great time. Hope to see you next race and bring your friends.

im not racing peterson.....AGAIN. i cant catch him. HE CHEATS

i dont understand how you can fairly race when you dont have classes based on equipment.

you should try and break them similar to masters of mini. i realize that you dont have as many contenders but how can you fairly put a stock 50 against a 140? you could be Rossi himself on that 50 and not stand a chance.

Easy the stock 50 person runs in Sportsman. Since we have only had one stock bike show up we need more than one to make a class.
I'm open to suggestions that work but right now everyone that has come has had so much fun running and have found someone on the track to race that battles have broken out all over the track.

Are these the MOM classes your talking about?
Yoots ages15-20, up to a 12” rear wheel
Middle Age ages 21-29, up to a 12” rear wheel
Seniors ages 30-99, up to a 12” rear wheel
Fat Boy anyone 200lbs +, up to a 12” rear wheel
Poor Boy anything 49cc, up to a 10” rear wheel
Modified 50-89cc, up to a 10” rear wheel
10” Rockstar unlimited engine mods, up to 10” rear wheel
Limited 90-110cc, up to a 12” rear wheel
10/12 Open 111cc+, up to a 12” rear wheel
12” Rockstar unlimited engine mods, up to 12” rear wheel

If you want to win - then you will spend the money to build and build and build and how do you police it. I'm not going to tear down an engine to find out if its got a stroker crank. And is a stock KLX110 really equal to a Honda 108? They both would have to race in Limited?

Dave P is over 200+ just like me - so would he beat me you bet.

I'd be happy to add classes as we have racers that come.

Come and try us out

i watched Jeff Wood spank everyone on thier $5000 modded machines on a kart track. he was on a barely modded 50. these guys were no joke either, they came from as far as michigan and canada.

Both my son and I were in one of those heat races with Jeff, we both have 108's and he was flying by everyone till he crashed.

As I said, if you got a bunch of buddies that all have the same spec hardware and you really want to see who can really ride better, we'll create a class for ya, setup a race and let you have at it and score it.

Just come to the track and put your money where your mouth is.

id love to come up but right now you schedule doesnt jive with mine. i work tues-sat till 5 and on wed i have darts after work. so theres no way for me to make it up in time.(its about 40 min for me to get there.) ill just have to wait until a sunday race pops up.

and yes. my 107 and DPs KLX were in the limited class. was it fair? pretty much. we were pretty even. the MoM classes are pretty well setup. its very good racing and very close. i do see that you guys are growing in entrants which is good. maybe you could get MoM to do a round up there. its a much better set up than Cycles 128 back parking lot.

ill make it up there. eventually

SV - it's a good thing LRRS checked your schedule before setting up thier dates other wise you probably wouldn't be able to race there either.
