Track Day Check List

I probably should have posted this earlier...just thought of it!

This is a punch list I use for my track days. It's a Word Doc you can modify for your own use....if you think of any good additions let me know!

Good ones....my bike has no key but for those who do...great suggestion. Further...its a good idea NOT to leave the key in the bike...specially when traveling with an open trailer.

Re: VIR Roll Call

only a 25% chance of sprinkles Monday

friggn temps on either side of Monday and Tuesday are in the 60's and 70's WTF

good thing the track is so Long. plenty of time for the tires to reach a good temp before flogging the throttle

Dave's under ground page makes it out to be really sketchy ... 43 /31

Re: VIR Roll Call

Just an FYI:

If anyone needs to empty liquids during or after the event, I'll have containers with me for this. One for oil and one for water/ coolant.

I've arranged for a waste fluids drop off after the trip.

Also, I didn't see any mention of it so far, but I'll be bringing a small grill along for is to use, if needed.

I learned something new today as well.

Distilled water is in the baby section of the supermarket...

Yeah, that's right...I go in to Hannaford's for distilled water to do the coolant flush and couldn't find any in the water section to save my life.

Asked an employee where it could be found at which point she walked me over to the baby section of the store and there it was in between the formulas and diapers....clear gallons with bright pink caps and bright pink labels with a cute and cuddly little baby pictured on it....Awwwww!...........

So there I was, standing in the waiting line with 3 gallons of pink-labeled baby water...

I found it to be mildly amusing given the fact that I'm so far away from even thinking about children it's not even funny...yet, there I was with baby-water in hand...

This is gonna be a great time!
