Cyclewise Open House and Ride, 5/10

Anyone up for getting a group together to go down to the open house on Saturday, 5/10?

I will probably be leaving the burlington area around 0900 to go down. We could set up a meeting point and head down some back roads (like 116 or spear or something) to get down to Cyclewise in New Haven.

Maybe after we get bored at the open house, take a ride up 17 (if its in good enough shape to ride)

Anyone interested?

Several of us are meeting in Burlington at 10am on Saturday and riding down. If you want to join us, be in the parking lot behind 47 Maple Street at 10 (to get to the parking lot, go to the corner of Maple and Battery, make a left into what looks like a train yard, then make a left into the parking lot when you get to the back side of the building).

Re: Cyclewise Open House and Ride, 5/10

sorry, i fixed the date.

I probably have at leat 5 friends that are going to meet up in burlington on saturday around 0930. meeting place it TBD. I would meet up with your group mark, but they aren't from this area and wouldn't know where to go. Once I talk with them and get it figured out, I will post it up and let you know.

if we don't merge, then i'm sure i'll see you down there.

I might be interested, I live on Route 116 right along the way. Any chance I could hook up with your group in Hinesburg?

Not sure where you're seeing that... weather.com and the National Weather Service are both saying mostly sunny and mid-60s on Saturday.

Chris, we ought to be able to meet up with you in Hinesburg about 10:30 if you want. Say at the gas station on the left (Exxon, I think) just before entering town on 116?

Highsider, if not on 116, then definitely where 17 and 7 meet. I don't know what I will be able to get them to do.

mark, do you guys plan on heading straight down 7? or are you going to detour?

Well, since we're talking about meeting up with Chris in Hinesburg, I'm thinking we'll take 116 to Hinesburg and then take Monkton Road down to Rt 17, Rt 17 over to 7, and 7 to Cyclewise.

Unless Chris comes back and says he doesn't want to ride with us, in which case we might do it anyway because Rt 7 is effing boring.

Re: Cyclewise Open House and Ride, 5/10

looks like four or five of my guys bagged out. One for fork seals, another for logging/women issues, another for g/f issues. One guys is def coming though.

How far away is TB road from new haven? We will probably be game.

and, I will let him know to be up in time so that we can meet up with mark's group at 47 maple.

Unless something comes up I'll be meeting Mark at 10 in Burlington, and I'm down for whatever detour you guys come up with.

Excellent idea. So nix what I said before... we'll continue down 116 to TB Road, THEN take Monkton Rd down to 17.

Okay, so I'll see some of you in Burlington at 10, the rest in Hinesburg at 10:30.

PS: Jason, how's your neck feeling?

PPS: For anyone who's interested, after we hang at the open house for an hour or so, my buddy Edward and I are heading over to NY... via T**** Rd, if anyone wants to hit that.

Re: Cyclewise Open House and Ride, 5/10

Hey all just an update.. Vix went down today to the open house, Tomorrow on the 10th they will be having a BBQ.
I also contacted them the Dyno is $40!!! Thats a steal considering Quintin bro is $90..
If you are traveling South to get to this event, Rt 7 is scarified pavement.. Just an FYI.
I will be headin down bright and early! Can't wait to see if the SV is over the 120HP

Re: Cyclewise Open House and Ride, 5/10

just rode tyler bridge road the other night... deffinatly a good choice. hey mark, when you get to the the 4-way in bristol, (besides the fact i live just down the road in the woods if you went left), you can either take a right and head toward rt. 7, or continue straight about 2-3 miles, until the sharp corner, CONTINUE STRAIGHT on river road. thats not bad either. a little rough in spots, but fun sometimes, a few decent corners, and one LOOOONNGG straight. and when you come out on 7, you're just down the road from cyclewise. thats probably how i'll go. more fun than the straight shot 17 to 7. see you guys tomorrow!
