I just got porked. The only week of the year I can't go is the 17th to the 22nd.

I work for a hospital and we have a the joint comission coming in to inspect for a week to make sure we can keep our accreditation for another 4 years.

SO I can't go I am fuckin pissed.

I just started in January so I may be able to use the old excuse that I had this trip planned before I started and yata yata........................

Every year I hear people say I'll go next year, but never end up making it. Your nuts if you dont try this trip at least once. I tryed it once and I am now hooked... The roads are insane, the scenery is georgious. We can ride all week long on increadible roads and never hit the same stretch twice. We will be riding in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, & South Carolina. I promise you will have a smile on your face everyday while riding down on this trip!

Not too mention this is one of the cheapest/funnest trips you'll every have!

Only 5 weeks remain before the increadible trip to North Carolina. We should plan on getting together or starting to talk about plans on how everyone is getting down there.

As it stand right now I plan on leaving on Saturday the 15th late afternoon. My truck and trailer is full. It is Myself Jamie, & Clayton with our gear & bikes.

Randy are you riding or trailering?

I found out this morning I got the job

That means I have two things: 1. Need to tell them I have a prior commitment on Monday morning when I go in and 2. I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!!!!

I am available next week to meet up. Not that I will have much input since I can only come for the weekend. If you guys leave Friday night the 14th and can get there for Sat I could ride both weekends with you. Also if you are gonna meet up next week, Tue or Thur is good for me. Have to work 24 hours on Wed and Friday. The week after that I am good wed to friday. But don't scedule around me. I am already there for weekends.

First off here is my E-Mail

Jamie, I have always left early in the AM on Sunday so we get a full day of riding Saturday and a decent night sleep before departing. If the forcast calls for rain on Saturday we could always pack up early and head back. Saturday is an awesome day to see the Gap with a ton of riders hitting the Dragon and hanging at The Crossroads of time shop. Leaving by 7AM Sunday will get us back at a decent hour to unload and still have some time to sleep Sunday before returning to the real world..

Randy. I still think your a mad man for riding all the way down.. You still riding the SV or are you going to be breaking in a new ride??? I know you want a new toy... We will have to talk more about the trailering between everyone either through E-Mail or at a meet...

Bruce: All you have to do is show up on the weekend and crash. But your welcome to join us if we meet for a ride or I will send you a map to the house. It's not far from crossroads at all !

of course I am still riding the SV, it only has 91,000 miles
there is a possibility that I will have a new bike by then, but I will still have the SV and that is what I will be bringing. any new bike I get will be primarily a 2 up ride (maybe a wing) and not something that would be ideal for the gap like the SV is

Great news on the job Clayton! They should understand the prior commitment news, tell them it is for a family wedding or something!

Mike, what day do we get the house? Should we think about leaving Friday night after work and make the drive late night? That is a good plan on coming back.

Randy, I am not sure what KB is doing yet for the trip down but I did tell him my trailer is available if he wants it. I'll check with him to find out what his thoughts are.

It's alright, the Disney trip woulda been during the woman's graduation anyways, so I'd rather miss it due to the Gap.

All I need is a couple new Pirelli's and a day of tune-up for the bike, and I'm all set to go. Got the week off and everything.

& yes that was my trailer you drove by! I live in the complex in back there. Stop by anytime. I get home during the week beteen 4:30 & 6 depends if I hit the gym that day. You may even see me out there working on the bikes after work occationally.
