The time is here to start the planning. I have the house reserved already for the third week in May. (May 16 to May 23).

What I need is confirmation as to who is serious about going. I need a definate yes or no as soon as possible. Last year after the last trip a lot of people inquired about 2004, so if there is still a large interest I would need to know the amount of people to see if I need to book a second house, which is available at the moment.

I will be looking for a $50 deposit by mid January, say the 15th so I can send off the deposits on the house/houses...

I will most likely be leaving on Saturday May 15th. I am pretty sure my trailor is still full for the trip down between Skiixer (Jamie) and TheIglu (Clayton) & my bike.

If anyone wants to extend the invite to a friend if you are going that is fine, just do not post this anywhere else. Pretty much keeping this as a NESR Friends & Family thing. NESR is our family!

All that's left to get the beast ready is to open up the tranny to grind open my shift window so I will miss fewer shifts.

Right now there is four of us for the whole week, and Bruce for the last three days. That will cost everyone $200 for the week on just the house. Bruces contribution for the last three days will make up the difference.

Does everyone feel comfortable with that cost or should we call it a loss if nobody else shows interest??

If this falls out I am heading to Daytona for Bike week.

Didn't see that post before...what type of house did you rent? Is there enough bedrooms let's say if you have couples going? I was looking at some nice cabins around Bryson City in NC. Is it in this area?

the place we stay at is the treetops 2 miles from Cherohala and a lot closer to the gap (15mi?) than Bryson City

I've been reading and reading this thread. Contemplating and contemplating.

Sounds like a good time! Is this still a go? I have never been and I have heard good things about Deal's gap. I can get a truck and a single bike trailer for the week.

Or you could borrow my trailer that is still in your name!!! It is still on, I spoke to Mike about it Saturday. It si going to be a good week of riding and oh yeah some drinking!!!!

Sorry My Trailor is Full with three bikes.

But I am sure we could figure something out so you dont have to travel alone.
I could possibly get my buddies truck to pull my trailor and throw one bike in the bed of the truck. Pretty sure he will be cool with that, just have to throw a favor or money towards him... The truck is a quad cab so we can all fit and put our gear in the trailor.

not sure... still contemplating bringing 2 bikes, in which case I would have to trailer... but more than likely I will end up riding. possibility I will make a SS1000 out of it again.


Or if I get a wing, I'll do both, ride towing my SV on a trailer

btw... potentially I might hit 100k on my SV on this trip
