ride meeting place 9:00 am at Pat & Pete's Diner, at the intersection of Rts 11 &153 in Farmington

proceed north on 11 & 28 to wolfeboro, 109 to Moultonboro, Rt 25 & 25A to Ashland, Rt 3 to Lincoln and the Kanc to Conway

Lunch in Conway

ride home on 16 or 153

Anybody who has ridden in cold weather knows.. that it is the cheapest horsepower you can find for a bike, you don't have to pay for it or even bolt it on

Going kayaking down the Cape tomorrow amongst the ice-bergs ans see if I can't catch a penguin..........

Route

From Farmington. Route 153 to Middleton
Kings Highway to Wolfeboro
RT109 to Moultonboro (severe frost heaves from Melvin Village to Moultonboro)
Route 25 to Center Harbor
Route 25A & 25 to Holderness
Route 175 & RT 3 to Woodstock(lotsa frost heaves here too, huge patch of ICE coming into Campton Village on a corner ice all the way across road for 100feet or so, many ruts.. I picked the best ine I could see, all the way thru about 45mph, no slippage )

Kank had only a couple cages to pass eastbound, good road conditions till 2000ft elevation then becoming sandy. once over the pass there was about ½ inch dusting of fresh snow, but blown off wheel tracks from minimal traffic. if I had hit this on the uphill, it wouldn't have bothered me at all, on the downhill it was caution for sure, I slowed down to barely speed limit 40mph. Once down lower in elevation, the snow was gone, and the sun was bright, once back to 16, I came back home that way, I knew 153 would prolly be all frost heaves

total milage for the day- 180

Yah, frost heaves really suck around here right now...hopefully they will mellow down for this spring!
