I will look into ATV friendly trails in the area. Not too many legal places to ride them damn things but they sure are fun. If there are some decent trails to ride around there I will also look into getting a map and plotting some trails out.
Friday off sounds like a good plan too.

I have a feeling it will be a paved road ride. It seems the Pittsfield state forest isnt too far off but this might be a great time for the road bikes as well.
There is still plenty of time before then to decide on the road or dirt use. Half of the people that now have dirt toys may not have them by then anyway. It really doesnt matter to me either way, road or dirt, its all good!

It will either be the 2 dirt bikes and we will ride savoy or it will be the 2 dual sports and we will ride where ever.

Are you 2 planning on staying at the campground or just day tripping it?

re: OFF ROADING

There's an area for riding ATVs & off-road bikes not too far from that campground. A Massachusetts ATV registration, or any street registration, is required to ride in the forest. The terrain is, um, moist. Nothing too difficult (no serious hills), but it gets messy.

camping trip?

I have had to use my tow rope to get a certain yamaha 4 wheeler out of more than one mud hole . I'll keep it in my back pack just in case. Then again I have pulled wifeys dirt bike out with it too, not to mention my own a few times.

As I mentioned earlier this is a what ever you want to do trip, so if there are folks out there with out dirt toys , bring the street bike, the roads out that way are pretty cool.

I was out on the dirt bike tuesday. I figured at this point the ponds aren't going to freeze upso I went for a trail ride with the screws in,, The thing hooks up nice ecpetially over wet logs, awesome traction, the only draw back is that you have to wire brush them when you are done to get the wood chunks out of the screws. A few spots in the shade still had some foot deep snow I found my self with the front wheel in the air and the rear digging a trench till it hooked up on the ground below , quite a launch .
