A helmet cam with sound would have made for good footage. I often wish I had one one for some of my own crashes.

If you had a helmet cam to record all your crashes, the camera would be broken in the first 5 minutes

You have to start somewhere. But if you never crash then you aren't trying hard enough.

Besides if I didn't crash who would you have to laugh at, oh wait Leah's crashes were much more spectacular and entertaining than mine. I never went off the back of the bike into the bushes.

I still have a clear picture in my head of that fine crash
I turned around to look just as the tree tops stopped whipping back and forth, and to see someone laying in a pile of brush with a bike Ahhh a price dirt riding moment

re: Savoy State Forest & ORV use

Savoy SF is now closed to ORVs. There is a meeting scheduled this Wednesday that may disclose more info.

Friday, April 29, 2005 - Updated: 12:53 PM EST

SAVOY, Mass. - State officials say off-road vehicles will not be allowed this summer on the 30 miles of trails at the Savoy Mountain State Forest.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is citing environmental damage and safety concerns for its decision. Off-road vehicles had been allowed for the past nine years.

Officials say vehicles weighing less than one-thousand pounds will be permitted as of May first on trails at the Pittsfield, October Mountain, Beartown and Tolland State Forests in the Berkshire County.

Pittsfield SF is about 35 miles away from the camp -- about 50 min. drive.

we can always bring the dual sports and explore some secondary and dirt roads that we wouldn't normally do on a sport bike.

otherwise it seems as though october mt or pitsfield would be the next closest roughly over an hour away though.

I have never been to either so I can't vouch for them.

The trails at Pittsfield SF are much 'cleaner' than Rocktober SF. And easier to get to -- take 8A west to 9, to Pitts center. The forest is just west of downtown.

There're some really cool d-s roads nearby. And VT has all those Class IV roads.

camping trip?

heres the skinny

I called today to make a reservation I couldn't reserve any other sites unless I paid for them up front. so what she said is for anyone interested to call and get their site. There is no reservation for NESR I put the site under my name (Sean Bradley)
I got a site by the river # 28 its a tenting site meaning there are no hook ups. She said its $25 a night per tent (4 adults) but its per tent so if there are 4 adults and 2 tents its $50.
There are sites available with hook ups but not by the river, and full rv sites as well but also not by the river which would be fine if we weren't all right next to eachother cause we can just hang out at one site anyway.

The resturant serves lunch and dinner, no breffis.
AUG 26 - 28
check in on fri is any time after 11am
check out on sun is 11am.

No pets aloud
they sell firewood and ice
you can bring your own fire wood but no demolition scraps. no nails staples, srews, etc...
Best time to call is monday thru fri after 11am as the bartender is the one taking the reservation.

Once again its
Mohawk Park Campground
rt 2
charlemont ma
413 339 4470

Don't wait too long to call the place fills up quick

I'm sure if you call ahead and explain to them your situation, they will let you bring your wifey
