I'll be at the JFK building in Boston this coming Friday. When I get out of there, it would be nice to get something to eat, as it will be lunch time...anyone care to join me?

I might walk from the JFK building to the marina to take a walk on the water...(you know, where the "ships" are? It is called a port in english too I think..)

"Do as romans do" and go to Mike's Pastries in the North End. Or go to Quan's Kitchen (comm ave) and get the most (quantity) of food for your buck. Or, go to Troquet (boylston st.), spend a little more, but get some good food. Or...

Bah...I take all that back. Everything's too expensive in Boston. Find the nearest Subway or Quiznos and call it a day.

if you go to chinatown.. go to either the apollo (awesome korean bbq/sushi restaraunt) or ocean's wealth (excellent seafood).

I'd like a cheap, but good food asian place. In Montreal, there is this place called Cafe Saigon, you can eat like a pig for about $10. They have huge bowls of rice noodles, with marinated meat (chicken, pork, cat, beef whatever..) and spring rolls, etc. and they serve you a full tea kettle on your table. The food taste awsome!

So turns out I can do lunch Friday...

Like Bump 909 suggested...
Ocean Wealth in Chinatown is A1
for seafood. You like seafood?
Or Pho Pastuer for Vietnamese...

I'd be into these or just about anything...

post a time, i'm flexible.

akira, yes I like seafood, but I'm not looking into spending much. Like I said, if I could find a restaurant where they serve those big noddles bowls with marinated meat, I'd be very happy with that! I'm not the type of person to burn $20 for a main entry...only on special occasions. I'll have to see what's going on on Friday...I don't even know what specific time I'm gonna get out of there...

I'm gonna drive, as I want to be presentable. Plus, I think riding in that big city would make me nervous...I don't know the city well enough (or should I say, not at all, besides the streets I have to turn on to get to the JFK building...). Even to get to Chinatown, I'd need to get a map and find my way around...I'm getting nervous as tomorrow is approaching I wonder why, I'm usually not scared of going new places even by myself, but I have a weird feeling about tomorrow. I think my appoitment is at 11:15...I have to check again. I don't know if I'd have to wait even if I have an appt, or if they will get me in right away. I'd like to be out of there for lunch time and get over it.

It's not raining, and the sun is shining; good weather for anything in Boston today.

However, the commuter rail and subway security has made delays in the morning/afternoon commute. I think I saw a narc dog run up and down the trains twice on the way in. Made me an hour late

Boston sucks. Well, some aspects of it sucks. You know, when you are late after 2 different people gave you the wrong directions, you don't fool around trying to find "the best" parking spot. So when you see tose big "P" for "PARKING", you just turn the wheel and go in....after only one hour, I get out of the parking lot, and the guy tells me "$30.00 please" with a grin on his face...I say "what? You're joking, that's funny..." he said "No mam, $30.00 please"...I stare at him and it just came out of my mouth without thinking I said "that's fucking bullshit" and I hand him my ATM card....I was cursing like you will RARELY hear me do in front of anyone. I was so mad. I was expecting $10-$15 for ONE hour...but never $30.00!!!! So ok, how come 3/4 of the people you stop on the street to ask for directions are TOURISTS...LOL One was from Australia! So anyway, after my appt, I get to China town. I park on the street and get out to look at the meter. A delivery guy comes next to me, and he says "you can put money in it for up to 2 hours" and I say oh that is cool, and realize I onlyhave 2 quarters on me, so I ask him if he have some quarters and I will give him dollar bills for them. He goes in his truck, come back and put many quarters in it, I hand him some dollar bills and he smile at me telling me "it's on me, go and enjoy your lunch in Chinatown!" I think he was trying to make me feel better after I told him how bostonians were crazy with their parking prices...LOL Also, another really nice lady told me the way to get back on masspike...

The traffic is BAD in that city. I understand why so many of you would rather take what you call the "T" to get where you need to go.

So yeah....I am now officially a permanent resident of United States of America....I just have to wait fo rmy new green card in the mail...on about...5 months. My finger print is now in the computer!
