To NHIS and back - 7.23.05 - *pics*

Took a ride up to NHIS on Saturday. Watched a couple hours of practice in the morning, then had lunch and met my dad for a day of riding in the lakes region. It was a perfect day...zero clouds, 70's with low humidity, and a little breeze. I didn't sweat once with full gear all day. On to the pics...

I was riding to the track on some backroads when I saw a Miata pulled onto the shoulder up ahead. I thought he might have been broken down until I saw the driver on the other side of the road taking pictures. I looked to my right, saw the scenery, and decided to join him.

And onto some random track pictures...

The guy up in the top right in the above pic had just lowsided right in front of me, but my camera was off. He must have broken something, because they put down some speedy-dry and he walked the bike back to his pit.

This is up on Rt 11 between Alton and Gilford...

Total mileage for the day was around 170. Passed the 6000-mile mark too, with me doing the last 2400+ of that.

Nice scenery.

But here's some free advice: Never get too close to a guy that drives a Miata.

Funny you say that...there was a middle aged guy in the passenger seat, and another one across the street taking the pictures. I shit you not. When was the last time you went for a scenic drive with your "friend"?

Yeah, just too bad I watched from the 'fun for three minutes' bowl stands for the first hour until someone opened up the Concord grandstands. I can't wait until I get my new digital...I've decided on a Fuji S5100. I'd actually be able to see numbers!
