My G/F and I are headed out to the Lake after work Friday , for the weekend .
We're staying right downtown at the bottom of 9n !!!!!!!!!
Saturday we're going to find All the nice twistys we can find ,, she told me she wants to RIDE !!
There is some nice country out there ,, i know of a lot of nice routes ,, but if you know any let me know .
Looks like its going to be a big mile weekend ,, just going out friday is 2 hundred miles ... ye ha !

Follow Route 9 down through Bolton Landing and into Hague. That part will be fun, although there are a lot of camps, so the pace will be slow. But a nice ride, right on the lake.

In Hague, take a left onto Route 8. It rocks.

You may have to buy a map, or at least look at one in a store, but at the top of Route 8 you will want to hook up with Route 74, which is a beautiful, twisty, scenic rip through the Adirondack Park. Depending on how long of a ride you want, once you are in the Adirondack Park, you really can't go wrong.

Well , I did a map check 2 weeks ago when we went out there for a day trip to book a place ,, looks like rt2 and up will get us out there quick . It will be a long day after work so getting out there Quick is my plan .
Saturday is the touring day ,, And the Park is one or the destinations !

I have an adirondack atlas (big map that unfold to 38"x50") of the region, from canadian border sout to Ballston Spa, Johnstown east to lake Champlain, west to rome & Goveneur

it has EVERY road on it, found it in a concenience store on one of my trips a few years back

If you do make it to lake george you have to head up 9n and find your way over to rt 17 in vt even if you run straight out it and back its WELL worth the trip.
