Deals Gap Gear thread 2006

Since Mike has been overwhelmed this year with work a few have stepped up to help in planning this truip this year (thanks to all that have). I thought I would step up and start the old gear thread so we can make our lists of what to bring and get input from others of what else might be needed. Since the beer seems to be covered this year it will not be on the list!

Here you go (copied from last years post and a few added);

Leathers & Textile riding gear
Rain Gear suit & Gloves
Spare Key
registration for bike
Helmet ( Duh! )
Both Clear & Smoke lenses for Helmet
Helmet bag
Tank Bag & Rain cover
MAPS
Earplugs
Cell phones wall/outlet charger
Tire Plug kit
WD40
Chain Lube
Honda Polish & towel
Extra Oil
Antifreeze/coolant
Brake Fluid
Second set of rims/tires mounted Race tires!
Duct tape/electrical tape
Zip ties
Bike Jumper cables
Extra bulbs for lights
Tire Gauge
Riding Gloves, glove liners, waterproof gloves
Daytona Rainproof boots & Sid Boots
Small bottle with lens cleaner and a rag.
Bucket with soap and sponge for washing bike.
MP3 Player w/earplugs
Valentine1 !
Sunglasses
front and rear stands
swim trunks
camping towel (for swims mid ride)
chatterboxes (if you got em)
back protector
Flip Flops

Hopefully this is a good start!

Jamie

Cool now I don't have to find "My" list!

Thanks!

Added to the list:
DVD's
GPS
Sunglasses
Spare fuses.
spare oil filter.
Enough oil for a oil change if needed. (Or if you go off roading and fuck up your filter you can replace it! BRENT!)
Spare headlight/tail light bulbs ( Bruce/ KB ) You can't have mine this year, learn you lesson!
Tire pressure gauge.
Chain lube, and cleaning solvent and rags.

Please bring your own maintenance supplies. Not everyone brings enough for everyone to use.

One more WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a bulletcam 2 yrs ago and could not get it to work till the last day. Clayton figured it out. I think you had to set it to VCR or something like that

Some day after I spend some $ on a lift kit and big tires I will still not take this on any serious off road adventures.. IT's too nice..
Too Big yes, Too heavy? I have No Idea?

Bruce. Yes bring the XM !
We will be loading everything up Thursday night then going to get some grub and A beer or two! Then home to rest and departing Friday morning, so we can get to Bristol VA for a normal dinner time and relax a bit.
