Working . . . rip it up for me.

Besides that, my bike is definitely up for the winter. I have some of the plastic off it now.

I actually didn't make it that far. I worked on my brothers bike a bit and then we both went out to see how it ran. Then I noticed what smelled and looked like burning oil coming from my bike so I turned around and went come. I wasn't able to find any leak and there was no smell when I got home so I have no idea what it could be from. I did however find a coolant/fuel overflow hose that had a splt in it. Hopefully it will be covered under warrenty.

Did you work on the steering head bearings as Derek had suggested? how did it ride after you worked on it?

Hmmm if coolant was leaking out and splashing against the hot engine it def doesn't smell like burning oil in my opinion so I don't think it was from that. You might have ran over an oil slick on the road, some of the oil splashed up against the radiator?

when I first started riding I rode through an oil slick because I wasn't "SCANNING" like I should have been (noobie mistake at the time), and some oil splashed up against the radiator and it created the oil buring smell, and then quickly went away.

well it was pitch black out when I went riding so it is possible I just rode through some oil.

We did work on the steering head bearings like Derek said. Harrison says that it seems to have done the trick. I think it will take some getting used to since he didn't do much riding this season on account of how unsafe his bike felt before.
