When you say paved roads and fire roads, is that what you really mean? or are there some nasty wash outs and babyhead rocks strewn about?
I'm not saying that I'm definately going yet, but if I did go I'm trying to decide wether to bring the Vstrom 1000 or the wr250r.
You are talking about a KLR650 ride and neither of the bikes I have fit the category, which one is the closest?

Well as long as you don't plan on doing over 70mph I should be able to keep up.

The drz needed new tires, I gave the oems off the WR as part of the deal . I have D606's on the wr now.

The guy that bought the drz is down in middlebury CT. He saw the add on thumpertalk, so "kinda local".

I sure wish her bike would come in already.

I'd like to head out for 11, so people can arrive anytime after 10:30, I guess.

I just got back from a little "pre ride", everything is looking good. With GPS it should go even better since I kept getting lost.

I think it's within a week of being ready, but won't be here for Sunday's ride.

Which is OK, since I'd rather put a few goodies (skid plate, handguards) on before she rides/falls.

I hate that Freakin' trail and always make sure I'm doing it the other way... downhill!

In case anyone is wondering... we are definitely NOT doing anything like that.

I prefer to ride my bike... not pick it up.
