Is anyone putting together something for a season opener party?

Yes, I was...it's true that it wasn't a great turnout...but people still had fun, right? Besides, lots of new members who joined in the past year who became regulars of the forums...so who knows, maybe there would be more people this time. Nothing complicated...just a fun night with everyone, meet new faces, etc. I would offer my place, but it's a bit far for many. I'd rather do it when it's warm outside, the pool is open, play volleyball and people can camp out.

I asked here because I didn't want to cut the grass under anyone's feet if there was already planning/talking about having one in your neck of the woods guys...

i'd say my house....but the yard is buried under 3' of snow still. Not to mention it might be a bit of a hike for a lot of people....though I guess I'm pretty central between MA and VT.

Snow won't be that much of an issue in a few weeks from now... Would be nice if it was end of April...beginning of May...or something like that, when it's a bit warmer at night. Maybe an outdoor party would be nice, instead of indoors? Small fire, etc. but who cares, it would just be fun to have a nice turn-out with many NESR members getting together, wherever it takes place.

I dunno if I could do a full blown bonfire but a regular campfire wouldn't be a problem. I dont have a lot of room for people to crash though, unless people want to camp out in the yard....that would work.
