Cager Helps NH RidersAs written in Tilton (NH) Arches ride report to head of snake, Ducman... Hi Dave, When I got back to the accident scene (Rt 11) at East Andover's (NH) infamous Cemetary Corner our sweeper and the victim were in the swamp holding up the bike waiting for help. I pulled over, parked and stripped gear off for the work. A guy pulled up with his wife (?) and yelled if the rider was OK and after I said yes he offered to help get the bike out. I said if you'd like. He parked, I headed down the bank and (after a search for neutral) the 4 of us rolled her up the bank. The guy's name was Neil Bartz, and he wished us well on the rest of our journey. I know you agree this is the kind of good relations you get when you don't scare the hell out of cagers. BTW - It was a great ride. Thanks Seacoast |

Re: Cager Helps NH RidersThanks for posting that Steve. As lead, I was the last to know we had a rider down. As I pulled up to the scene expecting the worst, I was relieved to see the rider was fine! And as they muscled the 675 out of the swamp I realized that we were being assisted by a stranger. As you pointed out, this was a guy who stopped his car and got muddy just to help out. Class act. No recriminations. Apparently that corner bites a few every year. Our guy target fixated on sand, rode right into it, (the sand was well off the line...), applied too much rear brake and sort of high sided off. The bike continued on its own into the marsh! Inexperience...nothing else. Anyway, thanks to that gent for his help and you for posting up! (BTW..tried to find his number to call and thank him...no joy!) Dave |

Re: Cager Helps NH RidersInteresting isn't it.... You post up a thread where a cager is involved in something negative and everyone lines up to get their licks... something good though... ![]() |

Re: Cager Helps NH RidersHe didn't say anything about riding at all so my guess is no, maybe used to, knows people who do, or just a nice guy. Dave, his phone was listed but out of service now.....? |
