Just a reminder, those coming from NH, and central/eastern MA, some of us will be hooking up at the Charlton rest stop on the MassPike leaving from there at 7:45am to arrive 8:45am or so in Southwick at the meeting spot at Gristmill Plaza. There's a place there to grab breakfast sandwiches & coffee/drinks.

So, get your asses out of bed early.

Map of the rest area is shown below. Meet at the far end, just past the gas pumps. BTW, if I'm leading the slab from there to Southwick, I normally keep a 5 or so over pace (usually 80 on my speedo, which is about 72 actual). With more bikes draws more attention. Don't want to start the day off wrong.

She's a complete newbie at riding...maybe it's safer for her to not come on this one, the pace won't be "fast", but certainly much over speed limits.

I've only been riding for a lil less then 3 weeks(next monday will be 3 weeks..)

Nothing wrong with newbies! Meg did mention to me that she was not at ease yet to go on a group ride, is basically why I said that. But the ride will be over speed limits, it's not a "slow" ride. As long as you feel comfortable to speed up a bit and stay with the group, everything will be just fine.

Don't get scared off by this. Last year, we were spirited, but not crazy. That would be plain stupid with groups the size that we had.

Last year, we split into 2 groups, and one group left 15 minutes earlier than the second.

Nothing wrong with being a newbie. We were all there once. However, it would be very much appreciated if you let the ride leader and ride sweeper know that you're new.
