Ok... Here's the plan for this Thrusday (and possibly every Thursday if there's enough interest)... As of now, this thread applies to Thursday, 7-24.


Thursday nights are the hot bike gathering night in Springfield. It's basically a pose night. Hanging around and socializing. LOTS of bikes. Some cool stuff, some not so cool stuff, some downright comical stuff. Let's go!

TONY... #35... yea you! I'm calling you out! We're gonna be right in your backyard. You better drag your ass out on Thursday night!


The Plan:

Meet in Cromwell Ct at McDonalds. Exit 21 off of I-91. Take a right off the exit and McDonalds is very close, on the left hand side of the road. Super easy and pretty central. There is a gas station right next door for anyone that needs fuel before we leave.

I say we meet up at Micky D's with an expected departure time of 7:45 PM. Ride up to Springfield (about 50 miles or so), and proceed to look and act cool...

This is not intended to be an all out hell-ride up 91. Sure, a few of us might go a little bit over the posted speed limit, at times... But, no one has to worry about not being able to keep up.


As of right now, there are 5 or so people that are confirmed to go. Let's add to that group and go have some fun.





I'd like to get out and meet some new folks. Especially folks from here. You northern guys should make an attempt to come too. If there's interest, someone should organize a meeting spot up there.

It's pretty crazy there, so might I suggest a second meeting point outside of the craziness... and then ride in together?

Otherwise, I think you'll have trouble actually meeting up with anyone that doesn't ride in with you.

My suggestion would be something like the Pizzeria Uno's parking lot. It's about 2 minutes from the main area, but will still have some people, drinks, etc for those that arrive early?

It is right next to the highway (91) on the SOUTH side... near the river. Outside seating area too for anyone wanting to have some dinner or drinks earlier and watch people arrive?

Anyway, just a thought... I would more likely be one to stop down earlier (6ish) and head home early.

i was about to post that i'll probably go (supposed to be going to dinner, but may get cancelled)...then I realized my bike is still broken.

Other thurs. nights I have off, i'll def. go (if I meet up w. V, first ...if y'all make it a continual thing.

I have some "cruiser" friends that want to meet @ DD off 91 exit 48.
They want to leave around 7pm, they like to get there early so they can park on the street.


Past experiences usually the "cruiser" crowd arrives early & leaves early. While the "racers" tend to show up around 10pm

Well here we are! I'm trying to make it a regular thing. It will give me an extra excuse to pry the bike out of the garage.

A friend of mine's band, SHOCKER, is playing at Salty Dog. I may swing in to see him... they start at 8.

I'll most likely be in, if the weather holds up. For your information, when I went there couple weeks ago, it was before 8:00 p.m. and it was jammed packed on the streets. We had to park in a "Park and Pay" parking lot. You'd think on BIKE NIGHT that they would let bikers park for free? Nope.

Yeah I agree, I'm bowing out. Maybe next week. Friday looks great though and I should have the bike up 100% so I'll be terrorizing school children and grandmas everywhere.
