new concept for a ride....

Just thinking out loud here, humor me. There are a lot of us from different area's and different states. How about a destination and then different groups can set up rides to said destination. Spirited, novice, relaxed, etc. I was thinking of this place Yankee Siege Trebuchet in Greenfield, New Hampshire it's a cool take I found last year on a fall ride. It opens this weekend through the end of October. There are all sorts of run roads around the area, and a lot of fun roads to get there. It's in Greenfield, NH. Just West of Nashua, NH.

wadda ya all think?

Re: new concept for a ride....

I set a ride a couple of years ago to a VT destination of the Out Back. I had a main route maooed out which didn't pan out all too well. Others found their own routes they wanted to take. We all got there with a half hour or so from one another. There was something like 7 or 8 groups and 75 bikes?

That was a very cool day/ride/ event!

Just want a resturuant in advance how many people plan to show up so they have the staff and food to accomidate the group!!!!! This should be a notice of at least a week! I warned the Out back but they forgot. Sometimes it just doesn't matter.....

When is the proposed dates? I would be up for leading a fast group!

Re: new concept for a ride....

Throwing a dart at the calendar lets say October 12 the Sunday of the long weekend. There is no resturaunt here but I can point out a few or maybe others can. Multiple rides starting from multiple places say end up there about 2pm? There is a decent amount of parking.

Of all the times.. I will be in Portugal Oct 10 through the to the 19th.
Dagnibbit. Hopefully others wish for another date too so I can make it. How about Oct 26th? So there is more than enough time for people to plan ahead?

We hit the Trebuchet last year as part of the Covered Bridges Ride...

http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...de-report.html

We are planning to repeat it this year on Sunday the 19th.

http://www.batmanmoto.com/Docs/2008%20Summary6.pdf

Maybe the Seacoast Riders can meet up with y'all in the afternoon!

I've been going every year for the past 4. He keeps adding to it! Great idea!

Re: new concept for a ride....

I was on that ride and it still ranks #1 on (The Best Damn chart) I wanted to plan one for this year but with the new line of work, free weekends are very few. I did 480miles that day.

I'm calling it official. I am leaving from Westford if anyone wants to ride with me. I can do a newbie style, average pace ride. leave about 11 am +/- to get to Greenfield by 2 pm.

If you want a bit faster paced ride, you can probably hook up with myself an a few others in the NH area.
