Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this...We're currently working on an incredible NESR weekend that'll include going away, riding some incredible twisty roads, hangin' out with some really cool people, and having a Saturday night BBQ under the stars...

Right now, we're looking at early May. We wanna avoid Mother's Day and Memorial Day traffic. The dates we've been working on are Friday, May 10th thru Sunday, May 12th. In fact, plan on either leaving work early that Friday, or taking it off all together. The dates are pretty much solid at this point, so you're gonna hafta work around 'em...

That's all I can devuldge right now, as we're still working out all the details. But I can assure you all that you'll start wanting to work on the dates. I should have everything together by the end of the week, at which time I'll fill in all the blanks. I just wanted to give everyone a bit of a notice...:cool

Thats the weekend some of us are going to Deal's Gap.....
I'm plannin on leavin the weekend before starting my trip south with an Ironbutt Association Saddlesore ride (1000mi in 24) & Bunburner (1500mi in 36), visit with Mary a few days then ride back north to Deals.

Yeah, I realize it may not jibe with everyone, but those are the dates and we're sticking with 'em...

Count me out too. That's like the one weekend the whole summer I know I can't make.

That's alumni weekend at my fraternity. I have to pitch in and go consume mass quantities and cause physical damage to the building. Good excuse for a ride out to upstate NY too. We get guys coming all the way from Texas and California, so I hate to miss it.

Okay gang, it's solid now...

The dates are without a doubt Friday, May 10th thru Sunday, May 12th. Our good friends Penny and Jon (Junkyard) will be opening their doors and hosting this event at their bed and breakfast, The Caravan in Moretown Vermont http://www.caravanbandb.com...

Penny has also graciously offered to serve up a barbeque Saturday night under the stars, for a great night of partying and having fun. The cookout is gonna cost us each $10.00 a person, and she's promised to make it something we'll all never forget!

While they have rooms available, it may be necessary to book a room at another inn or B&B. And for those not in the know, Camp Meade is just a few short miles from them. I'd suggest getting in touch immediately either with the Penny or with Camp Meade to see if they'll be open. Some of the rooms have futons that fold out into beds, and Penny will allow two extra people in those rooms for an extra $15.00 per person, per night. The rooms are $85.00 a night. Room reservations are up to each individual. If you can't get a room at the Caravan, find someplace close SOON...

Saturday will offer a ton of things to do, but I have a feeling most of you will be in AWE of some of the roads up there. We'll be working on organizing some rides that will be suitable for all rider levels of skill...

THERE WILL BE NO RAIN DATES!!! If the weather is TOTALLY outrageous, bring the cage. It's that simple...

Okay, MY tentitive plan for that Friday is to head up mid-day. But that shouldn't matter to anyone else. Just get there when you can. It's super easy to get to, and we'll all be waiting for the late arrivals...

I don't think Mother's Day is gonna be that big a deal. The following weekend is a m/c race weekend at Loudon, and the weekend after that is Memorial Day weekend. I dunno, I just don't see the traffic as an issue on Mother's Day. Don't they say that's when the most phone calls are made?

I will HIGHLY suggest you try to make plans soon for this. As the time gets closer, people usually start scrambling...

Oh yeah...If it's too late to book a room at the Caravan, there are TONS of other options in that area. The cookout Saturday night is for all of us, not just the ones lucky enough to get rooms there. Whether you stay there, or at Camp Meade, or another inn or B&B, we still expect to see you at the cookout...

Amy and I are in.... but ATTENTION to anyone else interested in going. I'm about to book the LAST room at The Caravan. I will be booking it for Friday/Saturday night. Here's the skinny, it has two beds. If your interested in splitting it would be $50 a night. Even BETTER for you, there's a very strong likelihood that Amy and I won't be up until Saturday morning, so you'd have the room to yourself. I could only get the room if I booked for two nights.
