Figured I'd toss this out to anyone that might be interested in "renting" out a trailer for three weeks. Leaving for Florida at the end of next week, and before I fork over money for U-Haul, I'd rather spend it on fellow NESR'ians first...

I've got a class 1 tow hitch, so it can't be anything huge, just enough to drag my Ninja down to Tampa and back.

Jeeze Mister-Wee, I just put the finishing touches on gettin our class 1 three bike trailer all squared away. I woulda let ya use it, but I'm leavin the same day as you with it to Deal's Gap. Delay the move a couple weeks and it's all yours. New Tires, lights, bearings, wiring, everything. Just bring it back in one piece.

I recommend pickin one of them Harbor Frieght ones up, heard they are well worth the $$$$. Good luck!

But, unfortunately, I just don't have the time to spend putting one of those together, then chase down a 4x8 piece of plywood at the homeless despot, plus take the time to go down to the RMV to register it.... So far, renting a bike trailer from U-haul is equating to $270 for 18 days...

I would just invest in one, instead of throwing $270 out the window you can get a fully assembled one with a floow for around $500 at Lowe's or HD...

my experience (semi-limited) has borne out the anecdotal experiences related to me: end of month is when most recurring transactions are due, beginning of the month is when the overdue folk are scrambling to get 'em done. rest of the month is mostly just the new or one-time actions.

the coupla times I've had to go between the 27th - 5th of the month (which I've tried to avoid), I found much longer lines than the times I've shot for 10th - 20th of the month... so it seems to hold true.

(at least @ the Brockton & Beverly RMVs...)

i hadn't thought about renting a bike; my friend has an extra car i can borrow down there so i was just gonna use that.

we'll see about the Disney thing, i'll let you know when my plans are a little more concrete
