'03 and '04 SV650 and 650s ownersFYI. If you're looking for a pipe for your bike, my Yoshimura slip on just came in at Cycle Gear in Vernon,CT, and, for some reason, they sent him 2. He was charged for 2, so, this is just to let you know he's got one IN STOCK!! Not sure the exact model, but, it's a "straight through" design (no baffles) and it's louder than the tri-oval I originally ordered. Dont' have it yet (picking it up tomorrow) but I'll let ya know how it sounds once it's on. I'm really not getting anything out of this, just letting you SV owners know. This pipe only fits '03 and '04 SV's and from what I've experienced, getting a pipe for these bikes is a pain in the ass right now! (unless you order the Two Brother's pipe which I've heard is garbage) Anyway, hope this helps someone out! BTW it's about $345 |

'03 and '04 SV650 and 650s ownerswww.svrider.com is your friend. beware slip-ons for SVs, though... they're really not. you have to hack off the stock can and re-weld. going w/ a full system is more "undoable" if you want to go back to stock for resale. |

'03 and '04 SV650 and 650s ownersActually, I just picked it up today and it is a slip on. When ya cut the stock pipe, the new one slips right over and clamps on, and, from what I can see from the included hardware, you could basically just slip your old one back on, though ya might need a coupling or do some welding. It's definately a "straight through" design! Ya can see right through to the bend in the stock pipe. Sounds really sweet too! Nice deep, throaty sound and it's not loud when you're cruisin' along, just when ya get on it (or let off). Definately feel an increase in power and throttle response. Engine breaking is a little less severe though. Can't wait to put in the K&N filter and look into re-mapping or a power commander. |
