I purchased a scotts damper mount, but its the wrong year for my bike....I need a 01-02 ring...I purchased a 99-00....any one have one? If anyone has a 99-00 bike, and is interestd in buying a scotts.. Maybe you could buy the 01-02 and we could trade?? My ring has a couple of tiny scratches, cant see them when the damper is mounted...they are under the damper itself

I purchased from a guy named "Richie" on boston craiglists, He works @ Parkway Cycles in everett MA...Why, anything wrong?

Too funny! bentbryan almost bought that. That Richie dude was telling him it was the same mount as the year he rides. We got on www.scottsonline.com (where you can buy the parts you need) to find out that it was NOT the correct mount. Mr. Richie went NUTS when Bryan told him it wouldn't work, and continued to insist that Scott's website was WRONG-O...

But as I've said, you should be able to buy that off their site. They DO sell individual components, and they're great to deal with...

Well I only paid $220 for the mount and damper....I think I got a good deal anyway.... I called scotts, they said I only need the ring that goes over the nut...That is the only difference between the two kits..

Not saying ya got hosed. Just that he was very aggressive with bentbryan and INSISTED that Scott's site was wrong. He was asking a bit more then, too. Perhaps he realized peeps were catching on...
