FS: Black 97 Kawasaki ZX7R

I'm selling my '97 Kawasaki ZX7R. It is all back with white/red "Ninja" on the gas tank. It is not the dark purple color ('98 model). It has been well cared for, not stunted. My good friend owned it before me. This is my second 7R (I also had a green '98). The bike runs very well - all service performed to date. Dyno tuned last fall and is showing about 116hp at the rear. Always garaged. Heated garage in the winter.

Bike has low miles - about 15,700.

It has been down on the left and right side (left side while walking the bike 2 years ago, right side at 15mph last Nov). Both left strictly cosmetic damage. I had fixed the left side a long time ago, but the right-hand fairing could / should be replaced (its just pretty scraped from the 15mph drop). Mirrors have some light scuffs from the drops. Upper, tail and tank, frame, swingarm are all fine.

No extreme modifications have been made. Some of the mods include:
Fender eliminator
Black windscreen
Muzzy stainless headers and aluminum exhaust
Stainless steel brake lines
GMD Computrack tuned front forks
Goldvalves in forks / shock
.9 kg springs (stock is .87)
EBC HH pads
Dunlop D207's (lots of life on them)
Polished rim lips (needs some elbow grease to get them back to shiny)
+2 in the rear
520 conversion
Muzzy aluminum radiator fan
Removed emissions (clean air system)
Dynojet carb kit

I have some of the factory parts (clean air system, factory exhaust)

I'm selling because I think I want to move to something a little more comfortable now...my arse really hurts during casual rides after 45 minutes. I've ridden it less than 1000 miles this year.

I'm asking $3800 OBO. Pictures upon request. Please email me with any questions.

just throwing this out there, but would you be willing to part with that muzzy exhaust? if so, what would you ask for it? and is it in good shape?

Sorry dood - I don't want to have to retune the carbs so I think I'm going to keep the headers/exhaust with the bike. But if the buyer would rather have the factory exhaust, then its yours.

I do have the following stuff for a 7R:

*highmount muzzy mid-pipe and exhaust hanger (works w/ all Muzzy exhausts). This replaces the regular mid pipe - can't run a passenger peg. The pipe does have a little scrape rear the elbow and some rubber marks from my boots...nothing serious. Exhaust hanger is black annodized aluminum.
*carbon-fiber rear wheel hugger in very good shape, no cracks or scrapes
*Factory Pro jet kit

(note - I will be selling the mid-pipe and CF hugger once the bike has sold...I would hate to get rid of the stuff and then keep the bike).

I'm looking at the FZ1. It was a toss-up between that and the Kawi Z1000...the FZ1 seemed more comfortable initially. I kind of hate to have to get rid of the 7R though...weird love affair. If I could afford to keep it I would.

Consider the mighty Z-Rex. Aside from it's hidious looks, it's smooth, a stump-puller of an engine and cheap to insure. I'm 1 typical weekend NESR ride away from hitting 12000 miles, and I got it in May with barely 4000 on it. I love it!

Not a problem!

Keep me in mind for the CF hugger though...
