Just got me a fridge.

Need me the kegerator kit, including CO2, regulator, tap, spout/valve, hoses, etc.

Anyone got one?

Me and the roomie realized we were both making money, had our own place, and we hadn't started pimpin it out yet. Time to make it more people friendly!

I can get them online for about $110, lookin to help out an NESR guy with one in good shape for similar money....

Actually, found a nice set online, DOUBLE keg system. 1 keg of Watchusett, 1 keg of "Guest" beer (Coors, Bud, etc)

Kit should be here by the end of the week, we'll probably be up and running a few days after that. Possibly the weekend after next?

Single keg to start out with. We'll toss in the second 1/4 keg once we get all the kinks and hangovers worked out.

A 5 lb. tank usually lasts around 3-5 1/2 kegs. A 1/2 keg (what you can buy in MA) holds about 198 pints of succulent nectar of the gods. They last roughly 4 months if in a kegerator. That puts me and my roomie at about 2 pints per day, no matter if we want it or not.


CO2 is DIRT cheap since it's a bi-product of so many industrial activites. You can typically fill a tank for under $10. Welding supply stores, fire extingisher refill stations, industrial supply companies all have it. Just so happens my roomie works at a company in Lowell that specializes in 4 degree Kelvin mechanics, so he can get it there for CHEAP (free).

Me and the roomie were talkin about sellin it. We can definitly get a liquior license. I mean shit, it's Clinton, which was recently in the Guiness Book of World Records for most bars per capita in the US or World (can't remember which...).

We may throw a SMALL bash to help our first keg along it's path of weight loss, so I'll keep you guys posted. We live in an apartment building, so it can't be too late, loud, or English speaking (wouldn't wanna go against the norm of the building ).

having beer on tap... made it too easy. my roomates used to kill a keg in just 2 or 3 weeks. ... that was before i moved in...
i could help accelerate that number greatly.

anyways, they are convinced its not economical so we havent gotten a keg since i have lived there... sticking to cans and bottles seems to give them some sort of metering ability?!
