Wheel Balancer

I am also looking for a wheel balancer. I'm tired of the shop charging me too much for the tires when I see them advertised for much less elsewhere AND THEN charging me an hour labor per wheel to mount and balance. I'm sure that a good wheel balancer would pay for itself after balancing only a couple wheels.

So, does anyone know of a good source for one????

I'm making my garage ready for winter motorcycle projects!!!!!

Make your own.

A static balancer is easy to make and is what the factories use. I've watched Dunlop use them at the National's, and we use one here for LRRS events.

If it's good enough for Mladin, it must work!

I've got a Motion Pro wheel balancer, i got it from Larkhart Phillips privateer program for $104. I planned on using it but seeing they change tires for so little (if any) money at the track, i haven't used it yet
I'd sell it and save you a few bucks on shipping if you wanted to give me $100 for it and i could bring it to the next race weekend

i wouldn't bother. i mount my own tires and haven't had to balance a tire yet.

btw: none of them had any vibrations. i leave the current wheel weight on and just line up the red dot with the valve stem.

Oh, and for what it's worth: I've also used extra tall jack stands in the past to balance m/c tires. Works like a charm...

Sheet I got some old data rack lying around. Perhaps I could rig some sheet like that up. That is a sweet setup R7.

Do you have any pics of the R7? I've never seen one. I have only heard about them.
