Have you checked ebay? I'm always poking around for stuff there and see clipons pretty cheap, you should be able to get one for around 25 bucks if you look. Also any clipons from a 98+ 9R or 98-02 6R should fit as they're both 46mm.

If you do go new, woodcraft has clipons for $150 so you don't have to spend the two bills.

Oh yeah I checked out the spools and the reason that the 6r spools are special is that the mount for the left side spool is slightly recessed below the swingarm, about a half inch, the zx6r specific spool has a half inch of extra material before the spool itself to compensate. So they'd fit, but might not line up right on the spool stand properly...best to go with the 6r specific, I'm sure peter can get you a pair from woodcraft if you want them.

Hey Pete, you got any use for a timing advance? I have a factory +4 advancer here that someone sent me to use on my 98, but this is the 00-02 model and they hotted up the timing for 2000 so it's not gonna work on my bike.

Probably only useful to you if you were going to rejet, the midrange is pretty lean on these bikes already, I wouldn't advance the timing without richening the stock mix a bit.

Anyway it's yours if you want it, I can't do anything with it.
