Just bought a new camper so my bikes going up for sale along with the wife's.

2002 SV650S, blue, 28900 miles.
I bought this bike in april from someone here but have not ridden much this season so it's for sale.

Milage is higher than average but the bike runs really well, I have owned several Svs and have never had a problem with one. Previous owner always used mobil1 syn oil. Bike Has frame sliders and swingarm stand spools mounted. Previouse owner put on new chain and sprockets in April less than 1k miles ago.

Since I have owned the bike I replaced the rusted exhaust system with nearly new stock system, had a ding straightened out of the front wheel, replaced front tire, and generally cleaned it up.

Mechanically bike is very solid, I would take it on any length trip with no worries. Rear tire is almost due for replacement but it did pass NH state inspection 2 weeks ago.

Cosmetically bike is in good condition. Both rear panels have small rub marks from a rack that was previously mounted. Right front side has small scratch, one engine cover has scratch on it.

Would make someone a great commuter, weekend ripper, or race / track day bike.

Guys, I am not looking for retail on this bike so don't bother low balling me. $3000 is a fair price. If you don't want to pay $3000, fine, but don't waste my time.

Is your SV the one with clip ons and a half fairing or the one with upright bars?

I am second owner, original owner used the bike for commuting in Mass and said he made alot of trips from there to upstate NY to visit a relative every summer. He seemed like a very level headed rider and judging by the tires he did not abuse the bike. Motor and tranny seem to run smoother than SVs I have riden with fewer miles. Maybe its the Mobile 1 Syn Oil he used, dunno.
Considering it is a 2002 28k is not a ton of miles, about 7k a year for the previouse owner.

Doc, I see minimoto's in your avatar, do you own any, I race at Sugarhill Speedway in Wear, NH. You should come down and race if you have a mini. I you have a place to race/ride near burlington I would love to come up some time. PM me and I can get you the details on Sugarhill.
