Anyone selling a cheap but reliable car???

My buddy is going to be selling his Mercury Sable.

Cheap, but I don't know about reliable It's a piece of shit, 160K mile Sable.

It's a mid-to-late 90's with leather, he'll probably sell it for $900 or so. He told me he's going to ask 1500, and I laughed at him. Actually doensn't look terrible.

my situation is it's for my girlfriend. She has a POS 91' Honda Accord that is practically on it's death bed. It died again on her this morning (sounds like a bad fuel pump this time) probably cracked from the heat.

I'm going to take her out this weekend to look at financing a new car but shes strapped on the credit, cash part. (I don't think i should co-sign = bad credit for me) so instead I'm on the hunt for a used car that will get her around till we bite on a new car.

Also, Are any of you a mechanic in the manchester area that would be interested in doing a diagnosis and fix on the POS honda? It would be great if we can get the honda to last till March 07, without having to dig too deep in the pockets.

My woman has a 1996 Ford Taurus that runs, drives and passes inspection. Has new tires, shocks, and exhaust. We bought her a newer car last year and she never got around to selling it. They just put $1100 into it before parking it since inspection was due before we bought her the new car.

I think she would let it go for $1000. It's got about 130k on it and has no issues (I think the windsheild wiper sensor thing that makes them go back down by themselves may not work?)

I work on Subarus all day. Find an older one with a 2.2 liter engine and it'll run forever. I'm pushing 200k on mine and it tows my bike to every race, no problem. Another tech at the dealership is selling his 94 legacy wagon for $2500, it's a really nice car in really good shape. Lowered w/rims and the like. Not beaten at all.

I got a 94 cavalier that's been sitting in my driveway, Thing should run fine right now... i'll take $100 to get rid of it..... needs a stereo and rear speakers however.

The Honda isnt worth fixing. Found a good deal on a 03' Pontiac Grand AM SE1 through Peter's Auto Sales in Nashua. Scored an extended warranty for her too.

Anyone know of a cheap old diesel? Doesn't have to be running/reliable/decent, just has to be a diesel and cheap. Can be a truck, car, shwagon, RV, etc. Just must be a diesel.
