It is a curtis. It works. It weighs close to 1000 lbs.

It is horizontal. 5' tall 7' long. I would guess it is probably early 90's. I got it rebuilt when I started using it 6-7 years ago. It works. - Mike

It also has a magnetic starter and an automatic drain.

I would love to buy this, but the single-phase motor for home use would cost too much and you can't run a compressor though a converter. damn

Awesome unit for a business with 3-phase already installed though, and way cheap price. That's a $4k unit.

Why can't you use a VFD on a compressor? I can't think of any electrical reason why this would be.

Unless the tank is all rusted out this is a screamin deal, it'd be worth setting up something special for a big compressor like this. My brother has all these big three phase tools in his cellar that he runs off a rotary converter he made (basically a huge motor and some power electronics he mail ordered). Works really well.

this is definitely a great deal. I upgraded to a rotry screw compressor for my new shop in RI. Replacement cost of the tank alone is more than a $1000.
