Bumpty bump.

Price ready to go $5,800. I want to apologize I didn't realize the bike only has 2,800 miles not 3k.

jumper

There is a ton of info on this mod on kawiforums.com, I guess if you jump certain wires in the ecu you would get 10 hp.

supposedly it "tricks" your ECU into thinking its euro spec. Like ahtune said, its supposed to free up about 10hp.

^^^Not exactly right. You don't get that much hp by tricking the ECU. That's right, it does trick the ECU making it run Euro spec. which allow more rpm's at the redline resulting in a few extra HP- probably 3-5 at most. Ahtune69 & 06ZX6R- have you done this mod? I did it a while ago, and i haven't had any problems.

jumper mod

No I haven't done the jumper mod, I think it only works with the stock exhaust. The only thing I've done is the pc3,ackra full exh with ivans map and it runs pretty well. Although many who did the mod raves and says its power output has increased.

It does work with either stock or aftermarket exhaust. You can find that info on kawiforums (I'm sure you already read that). They even have dyno sheets 1 run without a mod and 1 run with a jumper mod. Same bike, same dyno, runs are a couple minutes apart. And it shows increase in hp.

BTW, Jimmy636, sorry for a thread jack. You have a killer bike. Somebody buy this bike

No problem. I will tell you, I noticed a huge difference when pulling to redline. Before power felt like it was falling after 13,000 rpms. After the wire jumper mod it pulled like crazy at redline. Here is dyno plus how to

I did the mod in between dyno pulls, and there was absolutely NO difference. I left it in there though, because of the results everyone else has had. I figured its not hurting anything.

Yeah, I owned an SV650 and loved it. Not the fastest, but it was sure fun as hell. I have been a member of SVrider since 2002. You are right, people are smoking crack on SVrider and charging crazy prices for used SV's. I sold mine in 2004 with every mod under the sun for 2,800. I will just have to be patient
