Beautiful Ducati 996

I can't believe I'm doing this but I'm selling my prized possession....

2000 Ducati 996 with 9,800 miles
Yellow with mono tail
Ohlins rear shock
5 spoke rim
Arrow carbon fiber exhaust system, sounds really nice!
Forks tuned up by GMD about 900 miles ago
Engine serviced and had the 12k mile tune up, timing belt replaced.
I also had the dealer replace the rockers as the 996's were prone to a bad batch of rockers.
This bike is in great condition, paint is shiny, never had an issue with this bike.
Runs great
This is the only pic I currently have.
I have the title
$7,000

Just a quick question, not trying to be a wise guy. You say it has 9800 miles but you had the 12k mile service? Did you mean you had the usual things done at Ducati's required "12K" service before actually hitting that amount of miles?

Correct, They recomend replacing the belt at 12K miles and I was just being proactive and had them replace it and go through the engine.
I also had them replace the rockers as a precaution. Ducati had a batch of rockers that were known to flake apart a little.

I heard you added a few Italians to your collection too....glad to see you got taste now
I hate parting with this bike, but I never ride on the street and I'm thinking I'm gonna try to get one of those new 848's for racing....or maybe a lightweight Duc , regardless I'll get way more seat time on a race bike than I get on my 996.
Good luck with the additions Manny!
