aprilia shiver or maybe a triumph street triple is what gives. i kinda jumped into this one without really thinking. it really doesnt suit my riding very well. i commute alot during the week as well as hit the twisties on the weekend and i have a real hard time commuting on this thing. need something with a bit more upright riding position thus the aprilia

How about an R1.

I commute from Weymouth to Waltham daily on it. Bike will keep you ass warm too. Is an added benefit.

is it that you dont want an I4 or you just want the more relaxed standard style riding position? the FZ1 is a pretty sweet ride with the upright position as well. also have you looked at the KTM duke? all the bikes you mentioned already are badass as well, i just like to offer my $.02.

Nice looking RC, really like the custom exhaust.

The bikes you are looking at are very nice, take a second look at the Duke. I rode half squids last season and it was awesome. It handled great (better balance than the RC, and felt much lighter), comfortable and had plenty of motor (not as much as the RC but more refined). After riding I did want to leave my RC (sold now, ) in his garage.

Good luck selling the RC, if you want to try and make it more comfortable I do have a set of brand new (never used, had a couple of sets) OSF adjustable rearsets that I would part with at a reasonable cost. That would make the ride more comfy.

skiierx,

i think i was going to go sit on the duke just for grins, never know.

as for making the rc more comfortable, i feel that it would changing the overall character of the bike. its such a nice package as it sits now but just the wrong package for my riding.
