2006 Raptor 700

I'm looking to part with my most favorite toy Awesome machine but i simply don't have the time to ride it.
I'm the original owner and i have the Yamaha MSO in hand.
It's been mostly trail ridden but I also went to a MX track twice with it...I've even used it for yard work

The good....

2006 Yamaha Raptor 700
Fuel injected
Low hours for the year
VERY clean and well cared for

mods...

PC III USB
HMF black chrome slip-on with quiet core and USF approved spark arrestor
PRM .250 thickness swinger skid
Dr. D reverse relocator.... best mod ever!!! Never take your hands off the handle bars to put the bike into reverse.
Renthal ATV bars with Acerbis bark buster/brush guardes
YFZ 450 front shocks

The bad...

Could use a new set of rear rubber (still the stock tires)
Sence it was mostly trail ridden, the front lower A-arms aren't the prettiest looking...a few dents from rocks and the paint is worn. Still fully functional, they just don't look pretty

$4,800 obo

ah the joys of home ownership, no time to do shit! i've ridden my quad around the yard pulling a wagon full of brush/wood and given my son and nieces and nephews rides thats about it. i did buy it to "work" around the house but time for a trail ride would be nice!

The more I think about this, the more I realize he's only doing it to upgrade to a newer one. Wanna bet?

Re: 2006 Raptor 700

Upgrade to a utility tractor maybe. My 4x4 quad is a bit underpowered for what I've been doing with it...but I'm not going to upgrade until I destroy it. Not sure how much 1/4 cord of green wood weighs, but it's fighting the whole time when I try and tow it out of the woods

I did kinda get a little excited when I saw a left over LE Rappy at the dealer, but it wouldn't be a smart move. Any upgrade from what I have now would have to be something like a YFZ 450 with fuel injection and reverse

grizz 700 with power steering i was thinking tractor till i realized after awhile you run out of uses for it. besides snow removal or helping your neighbors.

If/when I get a tractor, it will have a backhoe...so it will be a bit more useful. I tried plowing my driveway with a tractor last winter and I made more of a mess than anything. I've got a plow for my Kodiak and it works awesome. Only takes me 20 minutes and it comes out nice and flat (i've got a crushed stone driveway)

So who's going to buy my Rappy?

while you dont get enough snow for it a blower on the tractor is the hot set up.

does the kodiak have low range? i know our 450 does and will pull just about anything. with someone sitting on the front rack of the grizz iv'e pulled two cord around on a trailer (although it want's very happy) now i use the tractor or the truck.

Honestly, I don't know if it has low range or not...nothing obvious anyways? I thought it was strange that it didn't, but maybe it has one of those shifters you push down for low range, then select the gear? I'm guilty of not paying any attention or reading the manual...I bought it used and have only plowed snow and hauled firewood with it.

Re: 2006 Raptor 700

it might not have low. if it just has forward reverse and park it doesn't.

low would be marked and on the the lcd (depending on the year)

it would be all the way forward (past hight range)

i know the newer (07) grizz 350 doesnt have a low range and wont pull shit.

Our Kodiak 450 has managed to haul some dangerously* hefty loads, in Low range. Wood, fill, 25 HP chipper...

*those hefty loads can get unmanageable during steep descents

Descents are not a problem on my firewood loop as I'm empty going that way...it's the uphill loaded on the return trip that gets me. It's not even that bad I guess, I only have trouble when crossing over the rocky sections.

I checked today and my Kodiak does not have low range.

Anyway, someone buy my fucken Rappy!!!
