the GSX-R got a screw in the rear tire today. Need one before Thursday night.

best deal I found online so far is Michelin Pilot Power Rear Tire :: Michelin :: Solo Moto Parts for $180.17 after shipping (to 02169).

Plug it!

I got a kit if you need it.

i rode on a plug for 1 whole season held up fine..... cheaper than a new tire and keeps you out riding til you get the tire and time together.

fuck plugging. would plug a tire if i was on 4, but not 2 wheels.
sucks that the tires have about 1/2 the life still in them. maybe i should practice burnouts

I telling ya jim, plug the tire it will hold out fine!

just dont go doing any wheelies or speed runs.

especially if you need it for pose day! you dont need a new tire for that unless you want gigantic chicken strips........

well i'm hoping the next Ice Cream Award for pose-night will be "Biggest Chicken Strips". Seriously though, it's not worth the risk to me to plug the tire. When I replace it, i'll give it away if someone wants to plug it and use it. i've been riding the bike less and less lately. rather do the right thing, since riding it's a necessity for me.

Im right there with ya, i havent got a real ride in in 2 weeks.

i picked up a screw the second week i had my bike and if i didn't plug the tire then i wouldn't have been able to ride it for a year (shitty job)

it will hold out, i am sure more people have plugged the tire and its really easy. I used to carry the plug kit with me everywhere i went, in fact i will probably carry it around again once i get a tank bag and if needed then some tire slime.

Id offer up alicias old tire i am sure it would fit, but it also had a screw in it and she had it replaced.

+1 I've ridden most of a season on a plugged tire....its not that bad depending on where the screw is

Is it finally time Jim? Are you gonna do it? Stretch and 300 conversion? Maybe just a hint more chrome? Or does the Suzuki have to be a Busa for that?

I have a set of PP 2cts Ill sell you for $150. 180 rear, 120/70/17 front. They have some track time on them, but will last as long as a new tire on the street save a couple hundred miles. Let me know.
