Wanted cheap SV650 exhaust

Looking for cheap slip on or full exhaust for sv650. I'm broke right now so I can't spend anything over $175 , so I guess that limits me to mostly slip ons.

Stick with the stock exhaust for now, it really is nice to be able to hear how your bike should sound before you go modifying it....

I heard Akrpovic makes a nice system for the SV's. Little pricey though.

Don't buy a cheapie exhaust system. Wait until you have enough for a decent one and you'll be glad you did.

I dunno , kids at school made fun of how my old savage sounded weak , and they'll probably do the same to the SV lol.

I'll try drillin some holes first then later once I get some cash , then most likely I'll get the exhaust , but still if anyone finds any cheap slip ons let me know

SV "slip-ons" really aren't.

meaning you have to cut the old can off to put the new one on.
you really are better off watin' till you can afford a full system.

And don't drill unless you wanna get made fun of by people who know what they are talkin about.

Just take the SV, hone your riding skills, then whip the pants off the kids with their loud pipes. Drilling pipes is for Harley Riders cause they can do that without screwing up the performance. With a bike like yours, you may want to try restuffing the stock exhaust cans first, then later you can get a better exhaust system.

Who the F#UCK cares what those kids think anyways??!!

I agree with Clayton, learn to ride the shit out of the bike and you'll dust them all. I've never seen a loud pipe beat rider experience.

I've seen a experienced rider get beat over the head with a loud exhaust though

Drill holes??? Did you buy this bike to ride it , or sit in a parkinglot revving to the limiter just cause it sounds neat?
If they say it sounds weak, they will laugh even harder when they notice you drilled it out to do nothing but make it louder.

Save up the cash and do it right.
My next question is this, before you go out and get a pipe, do you have.
PROPER
Helmet
Riding jacket
Riding pants
gloves
boots
rain gear.
Waste your money on something that is actually going to help you rather than something that sounds kewl.

good luck

Is this a joke? You'd be apt to buy an aftermarket exhaust 'cuz kids at school 'made fun' of how your bike sounds?

I'd hafta agree with the general concesus here. That is, RIDE THE FUGGIN' THING! There are FAR more important things when it comes to riding a sportbike than an exhaust....

Besides the fact a pipe is going to add horsepower that you don't need yet till you figure out how to effectivly ride the thing.

Unless of course you are just going to go form parking lot to parking lot reving the engine and posing , then by all means, carry on.
