bike under 1 grand wanted for my friend

My friends getting into riding and he is limited to under 1 grand for a sport bike. The year doesn't matter as long as it runs and looks ok. I'm suggesting to him a GS500E or EX500 used , but I can't find any , if you find any let me know.

hey someone emailed me with a 85 honda VFR for sale for 1k when i was looking for the kawi... .
it needed fork seals i think.

hey, let me know if you find an extra gs500. My buddy is looking for one too for about 1000-1200. I suggested the same bike - that's funny
