Got my eye on a nice race prepped SV (or two), so I'm putting mine up...

'99 Gixxer 600, immaculate condition and totally race ready. All the typical race goodies. Incredible paint job done by Mike of Collision Pro Racing (the paint job really has no right being on a race bike)...

This would also make a great trackday weapon. Doesn't hafta be a 'racebike', as my original intent was to set it up for trackdays and Thursday practices...

Found some other 'spares' I had kickin' around last night:

Cam chain tensioner (typical fail item for that year)
Gas tank
Front sprocket (15 tooth)
Clutch & brake levers
Throttle cables

Also, the D208 GP's I have on it now have never been raced. They've only got a coupla Thursday practices on 'em...

I've had more than a few inquiries about what 'all street stuff included' means. I'll try to give ya the best descript of what I have...

The bike was crashed on the street by the previous owner. It wasn't nearly as bad as he thought it was. I had the frame & forks checked, and everything was straight...

The street plastic is damaged, but my experience tells me it's all an easy fix. Mostly cosmetics in my opinion. May need a headlight, definitely needs directionals and mirrors...

When converting a streetbike for track use, you remove A LOT of unnecessary brackets, tabs, hoses, switches, do-dads, etc. But I DID have enough forsight to save just about everything I removed. I *DID* sell the passenger footpegs and brackets, so it'd take a little more $$ to convert it back and expect to carry a passenger...

I won't go so far as to a guess as to how much it'd cost to get it back to street trim. But I do know that Ron Ayers Motorsports can EASILY ease that burden. And I do know that it wouldn't take much. Hell! I betchya could sell a bunch of the stock shit I took off to help subsidize converting it back...

My best advice to those that've asked about converting it back to street use is to come up and take a look at everything. Make a list of things you think it'll take to get it to what you'd like and do a little research. It'd make a fairly simple winter project...

If *I* were to convert it back, I'd find a way to put some projector lamps into the race fairing. In fact, I'd use all the race plastic and adapt all lights, directionals, and mirrors to the race plastic and make myself a very customized ride...

Down to a week here. If it doesn't go by, let's say Sunday, I'm keepin' it. At this point, I'll be cutting it close, only giving me a few short months to get my (potential) new race bike...

Time's up, folks. The three SV's I was looking at have now all been sold, and right now is a tough time to find a GOOD race prepped SV. In fact, it's gettin' hard to find any decent track ready bike at this point. It's crunch time for us mortals...

Bummer too. This past week, I've had THREE (yes, THREE) very interested people. I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for that right SV. But at this point it's looking like I'll just keep the Gix and watch for something during the race season...

If, by some chance I come across a decent race ready SV in the $4K range (in the general New England area), I'll be sure and let everyone that's expressed interest know...

Man! I wish ya'll had come to me about a month sooner! Oh well...

Yip, I'm a racing plenty this year. I was originally looking for an SV, but I came upon my Gixxer at a price I couldn't turn away from. I thought I'd try my hand at finding an SV for this year, but the Gix didn't go in time. No biggie, I'll just run the Gix and either switch to an SV when I find one I like or upgrade to a newer Gix next year...
