WTB: Front/rear stands

It was before lunch, I was hungry

In all honesty I can live without the stands a while, the guy who spoons my tires on will take the whole bike, it just means getting a ride up to manch and leaving it there for a few days. A little inconvenient, but probably less so than hopping down to Salem, heh.

Much appreciate the offer tho, you're a good guy, no matter what T says What's got the fat kat up on blocks anyhow?

why, thank you, suh!

(just remember that t is an evil umpire)

Kat's getting a chain / sprocket change and fender chop. was gonna get a gixxer shock, too... but wifey's been a bit under the weather, and a lot of my time's been diverted from my original plan. guess I'll hafta leave that as a winter project...

I'll have 'er back together in time for a nice, long shakedown cruise on Saturday, tho...

Ya know, there ARE other ways to lift your bike easily without the use of work stands...

I bet if you enlightened us about how to lift a front end of a Ducati without the use of a front stand there would be much rejoicing.....

....cause I gotta change my front tire this weekend and I can't figure out how....

Problem is that that there is no frame to lift under the bike..... ?

Find a nice tree and sling the front up in the air with some nice straps and soft hooks

And don't forget to duct tape the front rims before removing the calipers or you will scratch them, I know. There is very minimal clearance there with the Brembos

I've always used jack stands for mine. The rear just put them under the swing arm. The front use a couple of bars to go into your swing arm holes and rest the bars on top of the jack stands. Only problem is you might need someone else to help get the bike up onto the stands. One to lift the bike and the other to put the stand under it.

There is some frame between the tank and the tree. Keep in mind that the bike can sway alot when lifted like this so be real carefull !
