Just wondering if there might be any interest. I have never second-guessed if I want to ride or not and this year has been nothing but. I just don't seem to feel "right" on this bike. So, I'm considering selling the 1000RR and possibly stepping into a 600 supersport.
The good:
- Transferable Honda warranty, until November 2013
- 4000 miles, all maintenance done with care. (600 mile service, oil change at 2700 miles, regular chain maintenance)
- GMD-installed Penske 8987 Triple-Clicker shock
- GMD-installed Penske fork internals
- Jardine Carbon Dual-Outlet slip-on and mid-pipe
- PCIII w/ proper map for slip-on from DynoJet
- BMC street filters
- Galfer smoke SS brake (front & rear) and clutch lines
- Woodcraft clip-ons
- Woodcraft rearsets (with rear brake light pressure switch)
- Woodcraft blue-anodized frame sliders
- Gold Pazzo shorty levers (both clutch and brake)
- Evo-Tech tail tidy fender eliminator
- ZeroGravity dark smoke DB windscreen
- StompGrip tank grip
- MotoWizard fork preload adjusters
- LP short stalk V turn signals (front & rear) all with quick-disconnect plugs
The bad:
- There are 2 small scratches on the front of the bike from my front stand (see photo) Yeah, the decal over the is corny, but it works.
- The PCIII's map seems to make the bike run lean, causing the pipe to run hot. It puckered both sides of the lower, the left side is noticable. (see photos) I installed large pieces of adhesive heat shielding to the inside of the lower. The bike probably use a custom map. I also purchased new "Honda" decals for the lowers, since I was originally going to replace them, but decided not to.
All in all, a great bike. Smooth power and LOTS of it. Maybe a bit too much for me. I never used all of it. Not even half of it.
NADA has the bike's average retail at $7575 and Kelly $6995. Looking to get $7500. Honda Finance has the title, so title would have to wait until I received it from them upon payoff.
I've invested well over $3K into this bike and it's very well sorted for a street bike. Hell, it would convert very nicely over to a track or race bike as it has the right clip-ons and rearsets for a racing position.
The bike comes with all the stock parts as well (exhaust, rearsets, clip-ons, rear fender, windscreen, shock, and fork springs)

It is a beautiful bike in person. Very clean and tasteful mods.
BUMP - bike is not longer a feeler. It is officially for sale. Asking price is $7500 as it currently sits, with mods and all stock items.
Just an FYI, I paid $7299 OTD w/ the extended warranty and paid over $3K for all the accessories and mods to this bike. Rest assured, this is a great deal!
I knew I shouldn't have gone to bike night in Uxbridge... I knew bad things would happen if we actually met in person... I just knew it.
GLWS!

Guys, like most of you, Ive seen this bike in person!! Its fucking SWEET! Its one of the few bikes I would give my bike up for. Very clean bike!!
I can't believe your selling it Chuck.
It's a beauty and I hope it sells very quickly!
Can't ride something you're not happy with, right? I guess I just miss the ergonomics the 900RR has. I tried everything to be comfortable on this bike. (rearsets, clip-ons, seat)
It's just not the bike for me. It's too short and too narrow. People say I look awfully cramped up when I ride it.
Don't need them monthly cramps now!![]()
why i didn't go with a supersport. my z has all the balls of a liter bike and doesn't kill my back or wrist's.
Chuck,
I've wanted to tell you that since the first bike night back in May. When we were heading home I was riding behind you that night down 495. I couldn't get over how cramped looking you were on that bike. I was like how the hell does he think that's comfortable?!?!?!? Anyways GLWS.
Exactly why I finally gave up on the RC51's.
GLWS Chuck.
I have also seen this bike first hand, and it's a Cherry! Very well cared for , and very nicely Modified!![]()

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
I'm going to pull a "Frank" (sorry dude, I couldn't resist) and put the for sale on hold.
I never really gave the stock rearsets a chance. On either the first bike or this one.
The first one, I went on one group ride with them, then changed them out for a set of Vortex, which were adjustable, so they may have been a little more comfortable than the current Woodcraft rearsets I have on this bike. Those I installed a day or two after getting the bike. These are NOT adjustable and seem to be higher then I had set the Vortex. Maybe this is what's giving me the "scrunched" feel and pushing me forward onto the bars.
We'll see.
I'm also going to take a ride out to Rich's shop this weekend to get an estimate on the "bad" items in the list.
