    Mean Lean Machine
    https://robbreport.com/motors/motorc...ke-1234668049/

Arcimoto has just unveiled a new electric trike known as the Mean Lean Machine, which is fitted with a unique suspension design that allows it to lean like a traditional bike for a smoother, more stable ride.

The pioneering design is the brainchild of Arcimoto CEO and founder Mark Frohnmayer. The entrepreneur has been working with Bob Mighell, founder and CEO of Tilting Motor Works, over the past decade to try and crack the code for tilting three-wheelers.....

The pedal generator also allows you to recharge the battery simply by pedaling. That means you don’t even need to plug the bike into a wall outlet when you need more juice. Arcimoto says the trike has a massive range of up to 200 miles when combined with an auxiliary battery. It can also fit up to two people, according to the company.

Arcimoto is currently taking fully refundable $100 reservations for the Mean Lean Machine now. The trike is due to roll out in the fourth quarter of this year.

I've seen a lot more Super73's in person and they're pretty rad.
My purchase is on hold - we're busting at the gills with bikes and have no more space. I think I may just get rid of my single speed and pick up a VanMoof ebike. The new V is rad: https://www.vanmoof.com/en-US/vanmoof-v

Those are pretty cool, but I'm leaning towards more off road. Got rid of all the dirty toys which is fine, but I do miss quick rides through the high tension roads at the end of my street and around town. The electric really piqued my interest, nice and quiet for the morning rides when the deer and other critters are still moving around. And as funny as it sounds, it's slow enough and fast enough for me, from the vids I've watched anyway. Some guys were just slow cruising behind their small kids at a snails pace, then ripping up a trail later. It almost looks too perfect, and lots of the vids seem to have some sort of sponsor or new product they are promoting so it would be nice to hear some real world experience.

I have ripped on a surron. It had all the hop up mods done and all I can say is WOW. crazy powerful, quick, nimble and capable of putting most dirtbikes to shame in single track and technical terrain. The only concern I have is that the wheels may not be stout enough if you really start riding it fast in the gnar. Most people won't, but for those who do I've heard of people lacing up moto wheels for it.

From what I say, other bits will fail before the wheels like the peg brackets, etc.

My neighbor’s kid has one. They hoon around at night, definitely makes enough noise to know someone’s outside. Also takes it to NH to trail ride. Seems to love it.

    Re: Looking for something....electric

I got to rip around Cambridge on the cake calk last night. It's like a high end sur-ron. It was a freaking blast.

Similar power and speed to the sur-ron, but geared a little taller. 62 mph max. 3 ride modes. Beginner, commuter and full power. Three engine brake modes. Free wheel, 2 stroke, and 4 stroke.

I rode in full power, 4stroke most of the time because it felt like a 100 pound 250cc motard! I was immediately hooning, jumping raised crosswalks at MIT etc.

Compared to the sur-ron the chassis is stiff and responsive. Ohlind made front forks are stiff and Ducati like while the rear shock was a little too soft. The front brake was quality feeling with braided lines if slightly under sized for serious track riding.

The look is a little too simple in person. The blinker stalks were just aluminum rods. The seat was very MX. Board like but functional for hooning.

The MX bike looked much nicer with trick wheels and shorter gearing I know it would be a single track weapon.

Needs some sort of side panels to dress it up a bit. Other than that the electric 2 wheel toys are so nice, and more competition is a good thing.

Need a street bike version that can take a passenger!

I’m finally heading back in the office and driving 5 miles is dumb, so probably pulling the trigger soon. I still think an ebike is going to win out - super 73 or a van moof. Need to test ride both.

Fuck it, just ordered a Sur Ron. Going to keep it stock for now, can't find any of the good upgrades in stock anyway. But I can see myself doing a bac 4000 and 72v battery for silliness, who doesn't want 12kw of power? But in reality for myself, I think the close to 50mph out of the box should be plenty.
Been watching a shit ton of YouTube vids and they are very well put together and tough. Best part is unplug and go, good for close to 30 miles without hammering on it too bad.

I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere in this thread, but I'm guessing the Sur Ron is a no-go on the highway?

I can't imagine so. As is, some people are trying to do the right thing and reg them as mopeds and ORV's and have had nothing but issues here in MA. They did get them done, but the couple of people that spoke up said it was a huge hassle as it's not shipped with a title of any kind. One person registered it out of state first just to show them, MA RMV, that it's a thing. I don't plan on registration, so it's only small road trips and we'll see how long that lasts till I get pulled over. A couple expensive mods, controller and battery, and you've got an 80+mph bike which is nuts. I'll do a couple things to wake it up a bit, but I'm not going to dump 3k for power mods just yet, the bike cost enough as is.

Sur Ron are fun to ride, even with a couple of the power up mods done, go too far with the power though and they get a little scary. Like riding a full suspension mountain bike at 50MPH scary. If that is your thing then you will enjoy.

Nada, I'm more thinking the battery bypass and controller to wake it up a bit. Some of the builds I've seen on YouTube are absolutely insane and way above my experience level. I'm close to 200 lbs, so call it a fat guy mod if you will, it will take it from 4.5 kw max to about 7.5 kw. Any more than that and it's a battery upgrade, but the upgraded 72v battery and proper controller will get you to 14 kw, too much for me, way too much! And so isn't the cost, the battery alone is about $2700 by itself, about 4K all in. So the upgrades cost as much as the stock bike.
